Re: Cylinder Head Temperature Gauge Installation
the only reason the manual recommends using regular motor oil, is for countries and times when filter oil wasn't available, or was too high priced to constantly be able to afford to regularly clean your air filter.. So if they said you had to use filter oil, people would simply not clean or oil thei...

high compression?
Are there any high compression big bore kits? Or anyway to make a 49cc dio into a higher compression motor? I've taken a new liking to high compression motors, as my friend builds and tunes turbo cars to run on E85 fuel.. If possible, I'd like to purchase a high comp kit for my scooter, and run on e...

Re: Has anyone successfully Turbo/Supercharged one of these?
Turboing a 2 stroke would be almost worthless, as a 2 stroke relys on the expansion chamber design to make power, and that whole setup would be scraped running a turbo That's not to say it can't be done, it's just to say it's a lot more work to get it right and making good power then a 4 stroke. But...

Re: Finally got a dio of my OWN!
I have no problem destroying this motor, as I see used running motors go for $100-$250 so I'm not tooo concerned I wont go stroker if its 100% not reliable.. But if it's even somewhat reliable, thats the route I wanna go! I want my bike to be like diospeed demons.. Definitely plan on using a small r...

but then I'll just rebuild it!veedubh20 wrote:someday big stroker motor will blowup!
just go 72cc
I would go with a smaller bore, if I didn't already have to purchase a crank
I want big power out of this thing

Re: Blow Out!
when i worked at the tire shop the day my new tire and tube were coming in, my rear tire blew on the way to work. i rode 5 blocks on a flat rear, sliding all over the place. if you thought a spree was underpowered, try a spree w/ a flat. very exiting ride  irony at it's best. haahaahh that j...

Finally got a dio of my OWN!
Been borrowing my friends purple honda dio for a while now.. Finally got me one for $75! 1994 with 3300 miles, with a clean and clear title (I don't have the title, but I did run a vin check on it) From a junk yard, blown top end.. It sat out for around 2 years in a muddy area, the cylinder was cove...

Re: Getting my cylinder bored out.
I don't know scooters, I do'nt know 2 strokes.. But generally, a 'next size up' bore is .02 over, not .2, not .5, .02!! It's not about making more power, it's about getting fresh cylinder surface so your rings can seal On a side note, how much you spending on this bore and piston? Have you looked in...

If you wanna get technical, and be 100% safe, then wear a helmet in a car, wear a helmet while walking up stairs.. But people don't At the end of the day, everyone here should just be happy I WATCH for bikers when I'm in my car. We are all in the same game, riding unprotected bikes on the streets. We...

darwinism at its finest, folks. Instead of making * comments when I asked a simple question, why don't you do something positive with your time  Btw I ride over 20k miles a year on my sport bike, so take your Darwinism talk elsewhere. Write me a private message, or anything. Just don't talk ...

^^^ I know that post might get some hate, but I really don't care. I don't care to hear it. Tell someone else about safety. I don't ride wild on the streets, I don't SPEED, I don't split cars, I wear my seatbelt in my car. I've NEVER had a speeding ticket, the ONLY ticket I've ever had was a no turn...
