Re: Gyro - general thread

I do not belive Gyros were ever sold in Canada in 84-86. only the 84 gyro was sold in Canada. it was the blue one. the red one was sold here in the good ol' U.S.A Gyromaniac is right that it was only sold in Canada in '84, but Canucks were offered 'Sparkling Red' as well as 'Neptune Blue'. I made a...

Re: ch150 wheels

I happen to know someone selling a 100% custom set of (aluminum?) rims that fits the Aero 80, Aero 125, Elite 80, Elite 125 and Elite 150. The front rim requires a disc brake conversion which is the hard part, but awesome if you do it. The rear rim is bolt in. Being a 3 piece, you'd need tubes.

Re: Honda Elite 1989 SA50 (canadian version)

NSDreamer, I'm curious about your 'Canadian Version' SA50. To my knowledge, the SA50 was never sold in Canada but Honda did some crazy things back then so maybe a few SA50's slipped in. To my knowledge, Honda Canada sold the SE50 from '87-'91 and then switched to the SK50 (Dio) from '91-'01. Are you...

Re: Stripped crankshaft

Sometimes when this happens the crank appears worse that it is. The drive face is made from softer metal than the crankshaft, so when this strips out (usually as a result of a loose variator nut) the softer metal can fill the splines in the crank and make it appear that the splines are destroyed whe...

Re: OEM Honda windscreens?

Here's another piece to the puzzle. This is from Honda Canada from 1984, so it's not totally applicable to the USA market but usually (always?) any accessories that were sold in Canada were also sold in the USA. It seems that even more accessories were available in the USA since the windscreen is no...

And those aftermarket ones provide 400x the electrical juice....which strangely corresponds to a 0% increase in power.

Re: Do you recommend the aero 50?

Here's a ton of info on the Aero 50 including all the differences between the years (yes it's my site  ): http://www.motorscooterguide.net/page1/page5/page5.html I love the Aero 50! Such sick scoots....the Aero 80's rock (unreal acceleration) but the extra insurance makes them tough to justify...

So does this have a rear disc brake?

The OP mentioned to me that the case has AF18e stamped on it.

Re: USA to Canada altitude level change

Calgary is around 3400 ft. Indiana is 800 ft roughly. It might run a little rich in Calgary but it shouldn't be too bad. It's not like Honda normally changes the jetting for different areas. If your Spree is running rough it's probably something else.
