i finally got my new piston and rings in but my top ring wont fit inside the jug

i oiled the * out of it with 2stroke oil and like to long sticks out of piston to far

why cant i put 9:1 gears for a 94 and up elite into a 87 elite.

could i modify something.

and i believe the stock ratio is like 13: or something like that
