Re: Coffee delivery vehicle spree

Guys, this thread gives a whole new meaning to Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire". :bowrofl: Frankly, there's a faster and safer way to get coffee for your wife. Just walk into the kitchen and... All joking aside, it's a neat looking gadget. I may mount something for COLD drinks. But t...

Re: battery location and stand trick

Wheelz, you're probably right on that. It's a lot of work to do it your way, but the looser you can get things, the easier it "should" come off. Ever work on the ole Volkswagen Bug? It does become a rattletrap before you get to what you want.

Re: battery location and stand trick

You gotta pull plastic to get to the battery. It is immediately in front of the engine, behind the gray cover. Not one of Honda's better ideas. Gotta think about this. It's been awhile since I pulled mine. Seems you can pull that cover with a bolt inside the storage compartment, right under the seat...

Re: Bought an Aero, how did I do?

Looks like you are on your way to a restoration. You cracked me up on the "no compression" spark plug. On the plastic, my son in law uses a mix of bleach to strip the dead paint. You may be surprised what is under there. He treated my Jog that way and then polished with Turtle Wax. What I ...

Re: Title from Bill of Sale?

MISSOURI I bought a scooter that had originated in Illinois, with title. I thought, for proof of ownership, it might be good to have it registered. Tag office didn't know what to do with it. Called DMV, and they didn't know what to do with it either. Called Sheriff's office, same thing. So I took th...

Re: glove box

Eliteguy is right on, the LX does have a glove box, but I don't see how it could be adapted to anything else, if that's what you have in mind. Neither of the small frame scooters has a luggage rack big enough or strong enough to support a milk crate, so that's out.About the only solution for the E a...

At least nine.
Awe Jeez. Please don't tell me that. I've only got 8.

Give the black one to a significant other. That way you can keep your "Red Spree" screen name.

Re: IT DIES!!!

I had what I thought was a seize last fall. When I finally got around to pulling it down, found piston going up and down when it wasn't supposed to. Bad rod journal. It's worth checking while you've got it down. Wheelz, "wait til the off season"? Geez, it's June. Off season is a long ways ...

Re: would you buy this for $75?

If it was 12 volts, it will not fry the starter. A direct short will fry wiring, but I question the starter problem. Something else knocked the starter. Bottom line is, it is worth $75. Cracks can be repaired. Use ABS glue or PVC glue and reinforce with layer of fiberglass on back side. mop the plas...

Re: Morals buy and sell (what's your opinion?)

Once upon a time, in the land of Ona Lee, 10 days was nuthin'. Lots of vendors said allow 6 weeks, and some still do. But even Monkey Ward and Sears and Rawbuck could beat 10 days. We have become spoiled to quick online purchases and vendors who ship next business day. But if you've purchased from a...

Re: protection

gdh, you've posted a lot of "case" law. That's the problem with our judicial system. We depend too much on case law instead of going back to the intent of the founding fathers. The background were the British was trying to remove weapons from the Patriots. So once the Revolution was over, ...

Well, you aren't a 63 year old disabled guy who can't use his fist. I don't think we need to get into an argument about this. If you don't want to carry, that's your decision. If you want to carry and live anywhere besides Chicago, go for it. Bear, where's your ole geezer photo? One thing about ole...

Cool. I wonder how it would be for protection from weather. I've filled up my tool shed and wife's carport with scooters, lawnmowers and workbench. Now she wants another carport. Go figure.
