thus starting the scavenging effect of the motor that much earlier in other words...less low end torque( just moved to a higher rpm range) but higher overall rpms and more hp (what 2 stroke motors are all about). Most 2 strokes rap tight (and get there fast) so the cost/benefit (low end loss/top en...

Re: off roading :]
hmmmm well at 30mph my knobbies are fine on the road too. i dont change them around. i like the way they wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr on the road yes, but when taking a tight turn(where the transmission cover touches the pavement) at 30 mph that wrrrrrrrrrr turns to "oh s***" as the knobbies slide...

Re: off roading :]
I found some Innova knobbies on clearance a while ago (like $14 each). So I put yellow on a spare set of rims and my E really hooks now for camping trips or what ever offroad adventures I get into (although the motor is not always up to the challenge). I strongly recommend a second set of rims (so y...

Re: 86 honda spree will not go
After running with out an air filter I would check carb again for dirt (hopefully) otherwise I would guess the top end. I have good compression How much compression (psi) is "good" to you? How did you test it? running lean and then a sudden increase in humidity or decrease in temp can caus...

Re: Do you recommend the aero 50?
Looks like its pretty much all there except for the elusive "between the rear lights" panel. I wondered if that empty space was suppossed to be there. It would also need the exhaust side mirrior replaced, straight brake levers. The seat has been recovered. The tires are mounted in the wron...

Re: Do you recommend the aero 50?
I got pics of the aero...I think it is an 86 or 87. it has 5500 miles. someone said they got theirs for $300. would $350 be a good offer for this condition or is that too low? I do like the rear basket seeing as my use will be transporting. Clutch side http://img19.imageshack.us/i/img0050dtf.jpg/ Ex...

Re: Kenda K329 tires
I have the 3.5x10 on the rear of my aero 125 right now. 400 miles on it. The grip is good (but I am not a racer). I have not had it in the rain so I don't know how it handles on wet pavement but I would think it should shed water well because of the tread pattern. 30% of my riding is on gravel and t...

Do you recommend the aero 50?
I am looking for more storage and saw a aero 50 on CL. for $450. It is an hour away so I want to make sure it is something I like before I go there. I have never ridden one (aero 50) but I have owned several other scoots (elite e, dio elite s, aero 125, aero 80, zuma, passport 70...). What year is b...

I hate that sidestand sensor, I remounted mine so it would never get tripped. But I love having the sidestand.

Re: Who here Boats?
I boat, but not this 2hp stuff( but whatever floats your boat...no pun intended). I think I have a 2.5hp electric motor somewhere that I used to run on a canoe as a kid (that thing manuevered).

is this the first time you have changed the oil?...PO may have mistook the oil fill for the gas cap and poured some gas in there (neighbors daughter did this once to his push mower).

Re: Has anyone successfully Turbo/Supercharged one of these?
I saw an auction on ebay once that had a turbocharged moped, so it can be done. I don't know anymore about the small engine aspect of turbos but I have seen several larger 2-stroke turbos that make big power (mostly sleds and motorcycles). I have seen electric driven blowers for small engines like t...
