Re: Variator question
The Pal used the Elite E crankshaft. The Pal2 had a longer crankshaft and corresponding belt cover to accommodate the variator. The SE50 with the variated full size AF05E engine produced more power and was quicker than the variated Pal2.

Re: 2-Cycle Engine Nollidge
Greetings: BTW, that 40.74 HP at the REAR WHEEL works out to a whopping 163 HP/Liter. Only the hottest of (Non-supercharged) Japanese liter-bikes approach this value. Gosh I love 2-strokes... Current production 2t twin snowmobile engines in the performance class average 200HP/L at the crank when na...

Re: Aero 80 pre-purchase
Buy every 83-84 Aero 80 you come across. It will be much more reliable than the modified Aero 50 and still have plenty of power for the mountains. The Elite 80 doesn't have the power or simplicity of the Aero 80. Yes, the Aero 80 bimetal starting valve can seem confusing but it is simple. Replace th...

Re: I think we are starting a trend.
Anybody else happen to notice, that the outlandish prices some of the ripoffBay sellers have been asking, are starting to go down a bit? I think as long as we push sales on only this forum, and also communicate via Facebook, that it will FORCE some of these gold diggers to come to a more reasonable...

Wanna try to find one? Be my guest. All I came up with is China/Taiwan equivalent bearings. https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda ... 3d24516878 Edit add line: If the part is truly no longer available, use the generic number to find an equivalent, and use the source quality of your choice. Honda ...

Try explaining more about the gyro s in your ad. Emphasize that it tilts in the turns but doesn't fall over, it is quality Japanese Honda unlike the modern import honda, the moped status means cheap insurance and good on fuel...

Re: '05 Zuma questions
Zuma variator uses 15x12 weights while elite variator uses 16x13 weights. Most of the aftermarket 6 roller variators use 16x13 weights. The keli for zuma retains the 15x12 size.
Going to a smaller carb will help you offroad your zuma.

Yes, the '83-84 are just about bullitt proof.Wiscompton wrote:I have owned a couple of those Aero 80s and was kind of disappointed by the performance.
An 80cc 2 stroke should be good for like 60mph.
They don't rev very high so I am thinking the engines should last forever. Maybe that was the point.

If it is running the wrong way, you are either starting it in the wrong direction via the drill or it backfires to the wrong direction. A fun random experience when you jump on and hit the gas.
