The giorno has been out since 92-93 in a lot of the world, they just replaced the jazz with the new giorno however.

That's a Honda giorno, I believe it is either an af16/18 engine. I have wanted one for a long time...

got a little time to do some work today. upon closer inspection noticed some black goo under exhaust port, so ive obviously got a leak, pulled the pipe off and doubled up the gaskets real quick. did better but still struggled to start. defianatly did better with the choke on, with 45/115 jet combo. ...

If it is indeed a Honda product, it looks like it could be a wave. Which i believe is a long case dio powered scoot, the long case is to fit the larger wheel. But it also looks likeit could be a cheep China clone, with Honda stickers plastered on it. All the pictures are to close up to tell.

as well as the other pictures have indicated, you HAVE to clean the pilot jet. it gets clogged very easily, and can be quite a pain to clean if fully clogged. best way to clean is with an 11 gauge guitar string or similarly sized piece of stiff wire, spray in cleaner and let soak, poke around in bot...

check the fuel/vacuum lines, change the plug, and if that doesn't work clean the carb, most specifically the idle jet. they are notorious for clogging and making it hard/impossible to start.

im running brand new aero 80 dual stage boyeson reeds... so i bet they are good... but i never thought of them being the possible culprit. the only issue is that i dont have a non cracked reed block to test stock reeds in. or non cracked reeds from an 80...

the Sa50 plug does fit the af05 just fine.
treats also sells honda jets now too, but not in the handy pack that daywot sells.

OK finally got a day off that i could dedicate 15 minutes to the scoot. i lightly cleaned the carb with compressed air adjusted the float level... some how was at like 25-28 mm rather than 19 and threw a 35 and 115 in the carb started better and easier than before, still not right off with out a han...

I would say that its probably time to clean the carb, if you can see gas freely flowing to the carb, then it only would really leave the carb and by starter to trouble shoot.

this is probably pretty true... once you jb weld it in to seal and secure, its probably never going to come out, even if you want it to.

i have 2 of them, one that broke upon installation and one that is on the non running scoot now. one definate tip. both of mine came with a very uneven mating surface on the stuffer side. tape some wet dry sandpaper down to something flat and lap the bottom completely smooth. as well i found that it...
