Re: Elite E SB50 with SE50 implant
When I first put my dio engine in the Elite E I too thought that I needed a longer shock or moved mounting points. It took a while to realize that it bolts together. Check it out. http://www.veloliner.com/elite50e/evilelites.JPG Also note where I put the pivot point. The tank was moved up a half inc...

Re: Need a good laugh or good elite E pics, check this out
Actually it looks like a clean EliteE but not exceptional. Price is about two to three times the going rate around here. Particularly when you consider it is at the end of the season in Wisconsin.

Re: Elite E SB50 with SE50 implant
You may not need a new shock mount, if you can live with a lower seat heigth. I extended my mount about 2 inches further back and an inch lower. The net effect was that the motor unit was now much lower at the front and the same at the back . The standard shock fit. I did get a bit of fuel tank touc...

How to make an effective expansion chamber for cheap.
86cc pipe tuning I have had a basic understanding on how expansion chambers work since I purchased a book by Gordon Jennings in the 70ÔÇÖs I was racing 350 Yamaha twins. My budget was pretty much nonexistent so I stayed in the production class keeping stock pipes. Oh well. The era for 2 stroke road ...

Re: TOMOS nitro 50, changed bulb, only kick starts now
Use the kick starter, it is only 3 cubic inches. The wrong bulb did not affect anything. My guess is a shorted wire or even a bulb some how crammed in upside backward. Perhaps you have a brakelight switch gone bad.

I am thinking reassignment camp and having to be "chipped".

Looks like the technical content on this thread is lacking.
From the first post this thread should have been moved to the off topic area as there is not much technical content needed to push an innocent scooter off the back of the truck. What might be fun is to tie the rope to the two scooter and do a tug of war. Might motivate the original poster to fix his...

Re: old rider, new 86cc Elite E
Todays stuff: No seat lock or luggage rack. Notice how low the fairing comes down over the rear wheel. http://www.veloliner.com/elite50e/profile8309s.jpg I was tired of cutting and recutting the expansion chamber. I decided that I had to carve the right side fairing a bit. http://www.veloliner.com/...

Re:
ya, that is correct. Welding was just too messy. Hard to get a clean weld, frame was too thin to weld to, and it was a pain in the but to not catch stuff on fire Hey pimpin Nice conversion. It was a pretty good idea to weld your shock mount to a bolt rather than have the bolt welded to the frame, I...

I checked the overall clutch drum to wheel ratio and it is about 9 and 1/6th or about 9.17:1 Seems pretty good!

tune and tighten things up.
I followed my wife into town today. She rode her EliteE and I rode her motorcycle. She maxed at 62 mph. While in town she mentioned that she touched down the expansion chamber doing a right turn. No crash or damage but not a good thing. Once we got home I got busy and cut off the expansion chamber a...

Re: old rider, new 86cc Elite E
I can't say that these conversions are ever done. This bike started last year as a normal running Elite E (SB) It would go 30 on the speedometer usually (25 gps). Got the motor on ebay from bettysuegirl last spring. 86 cc ministroker. Converted a pipe for it. 28 mm OKO flat slide carb. The bike sits...

Re: sb50
Your bike and mine look like twins. I still haven't come to grips with the nomenclature of the motors. Your motor mounts in what looks to be a lot tighter to the frame than mine does. Tail lights are different too but my plastic has the same shape as yours does at the back. I like your front brake a...
