Re: The Mad Max - my 92 elite... we are still "building"?
What happened with the Max ? The MAX was 44.9mph  Touche. The Mad max is still ticking. She is red now, little less rugged looking. I haven't even started my car since the 15th of march (this is day 9) I have thoroughly enjoyed the switch the kymco zx. It seems like they took the Honda engine ...

Re: possible frame bend
Why not weld some support to the frame and avoid having to buy a new one?
You could also use fiberglass to stiffen the frame. Someone did it on the forum previously.

Re: 25 year old sticker removal
You may apply heat to re sticky it, but you will likely have mixed success with their age and run the possibility of warping the plastic (been there).
I would try a plastic putty knife and some goo-gone. I found my bottle of googone at the dollar store.

Re: What are the Pros and Cons of a BBK?
It may seem strange ( or it may not) but these gentlemen are correct. If you are looking for dependable speed get an engine from a 94+ elite and you will be happier and probably spend less money on jets/carbs/kit etc. I suggest swapping a Kymco ZX 50 in. Larger 12" rim, wide tire - great speed.

A few cranks and the plug is wet.Trafficjamz wrote:Take the head off the jug and flip the engine over for a while.....let it drain out.
If you have a case full of oil/gas you will know......the plug will be covered in oil/gas.
I fear I will have to put in some time on this one.

My crazy razz
So a customer brought in a Razz that had been sitting. As i suspected, it only needed a carb clean and it was purring again. I put maybe .25 gal gas into it and rode it up and down the street. Left the shop perfect, then came back again today because it wouldn't start. Custormer said that it wouldn'...

Bearings or gears?
JUst got a new bke in the shop and thought i would ask for some more input. Crazy Whirring sound from the final reduction above 15ish mph. Felt like a large amount of play in the gears. Opened it up with a lot of metal in the oil. Looked like mercury beause of all the metal in there. THe gears feel ...

Re: ch150 on a elite 50 frame
I don't want to get into the "2stroke vs 4stroke" debate, - they both have their strengths and weaknesses - but there is something to be said for an engine that is designed to run 50 mph at 95 mpg and another that is tuned and squeezed to run 50 mph at 40 mpg. Building is fun, and tuning ...

Re: ch150 on a elite 50 frame
I'm not sure why more people don't do swaps with more powerful 4t engines.
Do you think a ruckus radiator could provide enough cooling power for the 150, so long as it had a fan of some sort?
