Super-Powered Recommendation!

I ordered plastic Spree body parts from martynkim, and he shipped it super fast, the parts were exactly as described, and his follow-up service is also amazing. He is super helpful, full of Spree knowledge, and he offers parts at great prices. I loved doing business so much with him that ...

Re: A scooter for my daughter

I got an 84 Honda Spree for my 7th Birthday, brand spankin' new- It's why I am trying so hard to get this one running now  My six year old wants a scooter of her own. But she is too small to fit on a spree. So I am customizing a Honda express to fit her. This is what I have so far. http://i751...

Re: Boiling the carb?

Now pull the complete airbox and probe down inside for blockage. Mice and dirtdobbers just love little places like that to build a nest. Will do... One more thing... On this link: http://www.scootertherapy.com/carbrepair.html Is this guy saying that the little pipe on the underside of the carb will...

Spree Fuel and Airline sizes?

Does anyone know the actual diameter of the fuel and airline hoses that go from the petcock to the carburetor?

Re: Boiling the carb?

I've found that the wire will not go through, it bottoms out in the carb housing. Reason is just as you read, the passage is offset in the housing. Tore apart a scrap '85 Aero carb for this pic, but have seen the offset passage in other Honda carbs. http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/8735/offsetidleo...

Re: Boiling the carb?

Guys? :?: There you go, turned sexist on us. :? There is at least one other girl in the room you know (bettysuegirl)... Also, back to your air box. Make sure it's clean (no dirtdobber nests, etc) and clean the foam filter while you're at it. I'm suspecting a restriction there. In this thread I didn...

Re: Boiling the carb?

Guys!? I just thought to ask this- Will you get the guitar wire through? I read somewhere that the passage is dog-legged, no light will be seen through it and the only way to know it is clear is to spray carb cleaner through it. I got carb cleaner through it after all that boiling and poking- but th...

Re: Boiling the carb?

I meant that when I crack the airbox lid, it has more power! I want this power when it is properly in place. With the air box shut and sealed it has less power. Before I cleaned the carb, it had absolutely no power, if I put the filter on/in. Now I get power, but only about half of what I get when I...

Re: Boiling the carb?

Ahhh, at almost midnight, I wanted to beat him- I truly wanted to. The 2 gallon can we have was pretty much all his before I got the Spree (which was only 3 weeks ago). He just wasn't used to sharing- He's only 11 so he can't really go get his own but after yesterday morning- I bet 1/2 gallon will b...

Re: Boiling the carb?

OK... After four attempts and about 2 1/2 hours of boiling, I finally could spray carb cleaner through the little tiny port of *! It was 11:30 at night and still, I put it back together and hooked it back up and... my son stole the last bit of gas out of my gas can for his stupid four wheeler!!!! So...

Re: Boiling the carb?

Hmmm? I wonder if it would boil out stubborn varnish? We got a guy on another thread having a problem getting that little hole clean after digging at it with a guitar string and unsuccessfully shooting carb cleaner in it, but not through it. Were you referring to muah? Super nice of you to think of...

Re: elite ingnition problem??

You see the main jet hole in the middle and near the parameter, you will see a little bitty hole which correlates to that pipe you see on the bowl side. If that hole is plugged, you will not have any secondary or high end performance. It takes a #13 guitar string or piano string to clean it out My ...
