Re: 50mm Big Bore Elite S Build
I have seen alot of sa50 builds with the rear clutch cover missing. I am not sure it is for heat issuses, or just to show off the cool clutch bell housings. Whatever the reason is, I like the way it looks, but do not like the fact that it looks like somthing is missing. So I took my pretty blue clut...

Re: How to clean an engine case
Gasket surfaces are ok to blast ,but bearings all have to be removed. New gaskets will be needed, becase nothing will be left of the old material. Car wax is a good idea....but don't use it if you are planning to powdercoat or paint. Safety specs (or eye shields as we like to call them) is a must wh...

Re: 50mm Big Bore Elite S Build
I have a 30mm OKO carb.
Is that too big? The biggest I have read about people using is 28mm.
I just thought "the * with it" and bought the biggest one.
Anyone have luck with a 30mm carb and an af16e?

Re: 50mm Big Bore Elite S Build
Still waiting on crank bearings, so the build can continue. When I went to the post office today, I got my x-mas gift early. My V8 pipe!!! So I bolted it on and took some pictures for all to enjoy. http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx159/trafficjamz2/100_2056.jpg http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/...

Re: How to clean an engine case
The Sand blasting kinda leaves a dull kinda dirty look to it. It sorta looks like a step backwards, but trust me It deep cleans the Aluminum case very well http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx159/trafficjamz2/100_2023.jpg The next step Is to polish the new clean case with a high speed wire brush ht...

Re: 50mm Big Bore Elite S Build
The boost port on any cylinder jugs made may vary on any size. A jug need to match on rear case. If you dont boost on a case w/ jug on it, Piston will get hot faster and seize. You cant go back to 72cc. Just stay where should or go larger displacement. Well I am definatly going to match the jug to ...

Re: Who likes my trailer.
Yes very light duty. It is for milk juice and bread from down the block. It was not intended to haul any thing over 20lbs or so. You are right about suspension....... it is not for a 24 pack of beer....too bumpy for that. My kids would want to ride on it if it were built any better though. :thumbwink:
