Re: How do I connect this Spree oil line? (pic)

Greetings:

The white zip-tie is a clue that this may not be stock configuration. If it were up to me, I'd just buy a length of line and replace the whole thing.

Re: 1986 honda spree water in engine

Greetings: If by "move it myself" you mean the kickstarter spins the crank over, your engine is not "stuck". It is simply that the battery-powered starter system lacks the torque to spin it. The battery itself may be weak, the starter motor may be faulty, but the most likely issue is that the Bendix...

Re: 2-Cycle Engine Nollidge

Greetings: My 1973 air-cooled Sachs-equipped Skiroule RTX 340 (339cc) made 34 HP - rated by manufacturer - at the crank. No surprise that 47 years later the output has doubled. RTX went 75 MPH in hyper-cold (negative 35 F.) conditions, two-up. Otherwise 60-65 MPH was typical. Musta been rich! Good m...

Re: 89 Honda Elite LX fuel leak

Greetings:

I would add that both problems are facilitated by debris in the fuel, preventing both the petcock and the float needle valves from seating. Check the tank for rust and address or replace. I have an SA50 tank to spare if you decide on the latter.

Re: Honda Spree Front Fairing Repair

Greetings: From what I can tell, the Spree fairings are made of a type of plastic (Polypropylene? Polyethylene??) that until recently NOTHING could bond except for plastic welding as Otto said. I have heard of (but have not explored...) a new-fangled adhesive that bonds these previously non-stickabl...

Re: 85 Spree Start issue then full throttle

Greetings: That throttle slide is a little fussy - to say the least - on insertion. It shouldn't take more than delicate Fingertip pressure to drop in, but sometimes we get over-eager. It's easy to get impatient and use force that will damage the soft aluminum slide bore in the carb, or bugger the l...

Re: Crankcase Bearing Race Crack

Greetings: Yes, it would appear so. But BeerBikesTacos' post is titled Bearing Race Crack , which from the crankcase pic a crack is not so apparent. I'd be leery of using that crankshaft altogether, since the pressure-fitted flywheels are more likely than not to be misaligned. Truing a crankshaft is...

Greetings;

I tried your tip a couple of ways, Vintage Garage, without success. Can you break it down? Still trying to score an affordable PCX or other interesting toy.

Re: Crankcase Bearing Race Crack

I can't make out your problem from the picture, except wonder why the left half of the bearing socket looks like it's been heated. Maybe a little more background; WHY are you needing to rebuild? Did the bearing seize and spin?

It's in unusually good condition! Are there any other differences besides the passenger (?) pegs and sticker? Speedo in KPH I presume? Are those silver wheels stock or from a Metro?
