Re: Cracked Driveline in Half, Wrecked Today.

Now with a broken engine with parts to scrap from it. You could take this opportunity to port the heII out of the old intake, or find something better like an SB50 or an adapter to put some dio parts on it. EDIT: Or just swap in a Dio. I had a dio swap mount but it was stolen or thrown o...

Re: Cracked Driveline in Half, Wrecked Today.

Yeesh.. Yeah, can't honestly recommend taking a Spree past it's normal speed. To me it gets a bit scary on those tiny 10" tires, even using 2.75x10's. Always afraid I'm gonna bite it. Luckily for me, my "sup'd up" Sprees rarely ever see even 20, except when exhibiting their performan...

Re: Cracked Driveline in Half, Wrecked Today.

Nothing on the drive line was touched, literally everything was stock besides the exaust and intake. I figured stock was best when it came to that kind of stuff.

Cracked Driveline in Half, Wrecked Today.

Of all the ways I could have spilled, the one I didnt think of occurred just a few hours ago. I was doing 30 on a straight away and when I hit a slight bump in the road, my driveline cracked in half, crooked my rear wheel locking it aswell. The rear of the bike swung to the right then bottomed out o...

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

I forgot to post a mount pic, it was a first thought to cut the tab and reuse what already worked. I did a lot of riding today and I can keep 25mph going up a steady incline. Something to note, it goes to 25 very quickly now, and when I hold a steady speed for a bit it will just start rising in spee...

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

It was quite heavy so I cut the stock muffler mounting tab and put a slit in it so slide a clamp through it. I tightened it to support the weight, then tightened the 2 exaust nuts, then torqued down the clamp for no wigglez. I'm a 210 pound rider and it zips to speed very quickly, if I put my feet d...

Re: Retrofit X1 49cc Expansion chamber to stock exhaust

It sounds almost like a small dirt bike. After a rejet and some exaust tip size tuning I had it hitting 28-30 but it was very torquey from low to mid rpm. I'm using a drilled #74 jet. I took video of how it sounds, I might cut the studs to the silencer and pack it with dirt bike muffler material. ht...

Yikes, I mean I didn't think manual Petcocks were that dangerous, when turned off properly, I just didn't think a spree with .5 miles needed more than a carb cleaning and a filter dip like honda san wants in the service manual..... But alas I should have just responded with the link instead.

Re: High RPM Goals.

Just got my jug and piston in and they are in great condition. Paid 25 for everything, only downside is it's the 86-86 jug and domed piston so the ports are already raised higher than mine. However I will try to go as aggressive as possible with exaust port timing while keeping the intake and transf...

Re: Just purchase my first Honda Spree, or scooter for that matter...any info helps!!!!

The air filter neets to be soaked in gear oil to give the carb better vacuum to pull fuel(80w and squeeze excess out), a dry filter will draw air too freely. If you use a screw driver and pull apart the carb you might have a clogged jet from gas sitting in it. You can clean the holes with carb clean...

Re: New diy intake results on 85 spree.

Ok, so I've been pondering some ideas. I was doing some port reading and the port timing for the 84-85 is slightly different from the 86-87. If I raise my intake port to match the 86-87 it will have the same timing but would flow just a tad bit more as well due to having to grind material out to tim...

Re: New diy intake results on 85 spree.

Thanks for the inspiration meatball! Got around to doing some porting for the reeds, I'm so picky about my measurements that every 5 seconds I pulled my dremel back to compare the reeds opening to the manifold with calipers. Needless to say I matched it up near perfectly. I also took a lot of materi...

Re: New diy intake results on 85 spree.

Just got my 86-87 spree reeds in, the petals seal very well on them. I thought they would only be a little bit bigger but it is actually a lot bigger than my 85 reeds. With the expansion chamber I made as well I need to rejet badly as my #65 jet is sounding zingy, but its beefy in the half throttle r...

Re: Map/Navigation app with speed limit option?

Doesn't Google maps have a feature where you can select a map route for a bicycle, I mean a bicycle route should be no different than a scooter route speed wise and if anything the bike is more dangerous.
