Re: Lighting resistor
A HID setup can not be run from the AC side like the stock light. Switching the tail/brake lights to LED's may help reduced the extra stress to the charging system. This pic is the HID on the ammmeter (a spike to 7.93A then slowly settles at 3.62A http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx159/trafficjamz...

Re: Lighting resistor
I didn't know the headlamp was on AC ? I didn't even know a 12v light bulb work on AC. The diagram shows the headlamp, bystarter, and meter lights running on the same circuit, so they are all on AC? And the brake lamps and turn signals are on battery DC voltage. After looking at the manual again, i...

Re: Lighting resistor
I was thinking I could simply wire in the a 25w 6.8ohm resistor in place of the headlamp. That will simulate the load of the headlamp bulb, and I believe protect the other bulbs. I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that the regulator works off the load it is seeing, and by altering that, it changes ...

Re: 2000 Mystic Purple Elite build 74.6 MPH 80 + MPH
Why do you think acceleration was weaker with the 8.5's?
I switched from 8.5's to 7.5's and gained some top end.
But I always thought the 8.5's had better acceleration.

UPDATE!!! Hey guys, first off thanks for all the help and knowledge through this process. I, myself, successfully de-restricted 2 of the parts but when I couldn't get the nut off the variator, I knew it was time for professional help. I ordered a #78 main jet off of Ebay and dropped my torn apart b...

Re: What Honda Motor is Most Comparable to Spree's Shape-wi
One more question and I will stop. If I were to compare a 94-01 Elite with a AF16 engine to a Spree with a AF16 engine which one is a better ride ? By better I mean smooth ride, good handling, better brakes, faster. If anyone has driven both, please share the info. Elite is a better ride. It has be...

Re: baffle rattle
Greetings: I believe it was the Right Venerable Bakaracer-san who dissected a PG Long back in 2009 or so. The pipe is very lightweight, has no centerstand bumper, and intended for buttery-smooth racetrack pavement. It just isn't built to handle the Mean Streets and real-world issues of potholes, cu...

Re: Dio hill climber
if you a want to do 55mph without revving to the moon. dont go with 9.1 gears. 8.4:1 would be much better. If you do a zx trans i wold recomend 8.0 or 7.5 gears. Thanks for suggestions guys. I'm thinking I'll try 8.4:1 first and if the low-end feels like it needs some help, get a ZX trans. If I wen...
