if it helps mine does not have a kickstart, and i opened up the tranny and took the first variator with the wieghts off and saw no mythical restrictor plate, so any mods i can do while its apart? maybe lighten the weights with a dremel?

not sure of the year the guy told me it was an 84 but there is a vehicle emissions sticker that says 1985, where is the vin# located, and ive been reading about restrictor plates in the variator and washers in the exhaust, do the aeros have anything like this to take out.

good call on the carb went for a ride and it ran great and was pretty quick bog was solved, but lacked power on hills and seemed to bog under full throttle tho, so now i guess i will try and start modifying it and will try and get that # 85 jet, but i am wanting to know are there any differences bet...

went ahead and bought the aero for $280 ran good, new tires, and the brakes were amazing!, so the carbs apart in my garage and turns out the spark plug wasn't even screwed in all the way it was like half out and the metal gasket hasn't even been squished :crazy: so been awhile since my last 2 smoke,...

ok im going to look at a $300 Aero 50 this after noon that ,"boggs down tell your wide open then goes like a bat outta *." from my experience sounds like its running really rich, but i think a read thread about this symptom coming from a stuck choke? shouldn't be a problem

what do you guys mean by take off, like it just accelerates really slow or it takes its torque away, i live in a very hilly area so any thing that affects its ability to climb hills would be a no go, also was looking at the aero 50 are the claims of 40mph an exaggeration?, the idea of more speed is ...

really that slow is this because of lack of power or is the gearing just really low? even on the 1986?, i here it is faster cause of its variator or something
