84 Spree

Can anyone tell me if the package tray on the front of my Spree is hard to find/rare? I have not seen to many of them.
Also did the 84 Spree come with a battery box cover? Mine does not have one.

Re: 84 Iowa Spree

Thanks for your reply, Glad you took the time to list these things. But this was not really what I was asking. I don't want to swap a bunch of parts. Not yet anyway. As far as reeds, porting, performance pipe, ect... these are things I know. Been doing this to my "other" Hondas for a while....

84 Iowa Spree

Ok, so I got my spree running good, cleaned the carb, new filter and plug. But I want a little more speed. 30mph would be very good. I've read the posts about derestricting the Iowa Spree's. And I have a couple questions. First, who has actually taken the exhaust off and found a "washer" i...

Eft37, Yes you see an 82 Urban. Actually, there are two of them. Red one is an Iowa, Kick start only, Silver one is an Urban deluxe. Also in the pic are my Express' A nice orange 77, green 78 with an 81 engine on it, yellow 78, and a blue 81. All run and all are titled. I'm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Re: New to the site

Thanks for the info on the kick start cover. Just got it running today, basically was the carb at fault, typical of these older bikes that sit. Had to pull the pilot circut tube as it was clogged, good thing I had a spare from an Express carb as I ruined it when pulling it out. zuphilius, thanks, ye...

Re: New to the site

When it was brought to me it haden't run in 20 plus years and was a mess. The carbs were torn apart and ignition was in pieces. But it's now a rideable f...

New to the site

Hi there, New to the Spree scene and this site. Just got my first Spree a 1984 in red. Working on getting it running as it did not when I got it. Can anyone tell me a bit about them and what to look out for, what are the weak points of these scooters. I am a noob to Sprees, but NOT a noob to Honda's...
