Re: Disable bystarter

looks like the wrong spring. and a broken part on your bystarter. theres a breakdown and explanation of the bystarter here.

someone probably put the heavier spring in to disable the bystarter.

8.5's were in my 94. don't understand why they don't put the weight of rollers in the repair manuals.

Re: rear wheel stuck plz help need advice

there was once a wise man on here who said a 50/50 mix of acetone and atf was the best rust buster. Theres even a chart on here somewhere showing a scientific type experiment for proof. What type of heat did you try? propane? acetalene?

Good luck with it.

Re: 1985 spree wont start

since the last bore quit running and you can't get the new one to go maybe you should do a leak down test to check the crankshaft oil seals. Use the search function on site and it will bring up a few homemade testers and how to's. Also maybe check the woodruff key on the alternator side, would offse...

Re: 1985 spree wont start

it takes very little pressure to blow your finger of the plug hole. It needs to be checked with a compression tester. they can be rented at some auto parts stores with a refundable deposit when you take it back.

how much is "loads" of compression? Is the plug new? is it possible the exhaust is plugged?

Re: Where the * is the oil drain plug?

two stroke motors don't use oil in the motor, yours uses gas in the fuel tank and 2 cycle injector oil in the oil tank (little plastic black cap next to the fuel cap.)

If your looking for a drain for the transmission then the fill hole is also the drain hole.
