Re: Flash 5 Rises Like a Phoenix from the Ashes of F3
Greetings: Alack, Baka-san, poor Corsa met its end inhaling the Mikuni E-clip. I thought a quieter, torquier Iron bore would be better around town and still eke out enough speed for the Deepinnaharta Freeway. Maybe not, but it's been fun trying. I may sell another organ and order up a PG Short and ...

Re: Flash 5 Rises Like a Phoenix from the Ashes of F3
You could do as I did, and slightly remove some piston dome material in the smoothing and polishing process. The dome and exhaust port are mirror polished.
My Malossi cast-iron cylinder compression is at 135 psi with just the o-ring. No holes yet.
Hope this helps you.

Re: noob wondering what i have
Judging by your pics I'd say yes. From an NB50 Aero?ss421 wrote:Then its a variated af05e than???
How does it run? I'd say put the engine cowl back on before riding it.
It is not recommended to run without them.
Welcome, and thanks for the pics.

Re: noob wondering what i have
Being that the af16 gear ratio output is 12:1 which is ridiculously low, and from my understanding, it is possible to swap the gears out of an af05 if you use all the gears and the cover. This should bring up the output gear ratio to 11:1. ss421, could you give us a pic of the entire motor? I do hav...

You could make your own using some correctly sized pvc pipe.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:

Re: Uneven Acceleration
Looks like the bushing was the culprit. I was checking bushing vs drive boss play when i said there wasnt an issue. Not bushing to Variator slop. About a week ago I found that one of the bearings in my motor was toast. Swapped them out and started riding again. Still had the weird inconsistent acce...

Try checking the clearance between the rear tire, and the center stand in the up position,
with someone sitting on it. If you have upped the tire size, then this is likely to be the issue. also check the shock-to-tire clearance. Good luck with it, Happy Trails!
