Re: glad I drive an old 2 stroke Honda ;-)
Scooter ppl givin' grief to other scooter riders, lol. Sounds like some harley guys I know. Ride what you like, this isn't high school for most of us:) GL with the repair, IIRC the evap was causing vapor lock on some of the newer scoots when filled up too much. Not sure about the peeing, has to be i...

Re: Aero 125 needs help!!
You gave up in 2 days??? If for some reason you are super rich starting or flooding for some reason, full throttle while starting will sometimes clear this out. Follow swimmings suggestions first though, maybe even get a brand new, correct plug, its cheaper than a new Razz:) Mine runs similar with b...

Re: Low voltage at battery. Is it the alternator or regulat
Rev the motor some with the meter on the batt, should go up significantly, actual # should be in the manual. Go through the charging system with a DMM and compare to what the manual sez. I'd suspect bad alternator(open stator or rotor), bad regulators with a good alternator usually let too much juic...

I just did this the other day on a really bad one, had to shake it a bit and blow it out some afterwards but easy as pie. Campfire, really:)

Re: No gas to carburetor
Its just behind the petcock(in the tank) and IIRC theres a little rubber ring there too, sometimes you have to fish it out. Some petcocks(not sure on Spree) can be assembled incorrectly, apply light vacuum to the vacuum side and see if fuel flows. Make sure you have vac and gas lines in correct loca...

Re: Seal Collar Removal Rear Movable Driven Face
Got it moving with a pair of channel locks and it eventually came off. The ancient grease and orings were simply holding on tight. A bit of corrosion as well to top it all off. The pulleys cleaned up ok but are pitted a bit, bearings somewhat cranky too. I'll probably just use a generic belt for tes...

Re: Spree hard starting and going slow
Hard cold starts, suspect bystarter, wires, tiny pilot hole or carb bowl draining while sitting. No top end could be float running dry for lack of fuel flow. Among other things of course. If try a check of the plug after a lengthy full throttle run and see what is going on in the top end. Could be j...

[/quote] Is there a good, common oil that will be at every walmart/kmart/meijer or a common enough place that one will be near me? Seal Collar Removal Rear Movable Driven Face
Got a really bad spree rear pulley that needs to come apart. Looks like the "Seal Collar" is just supposed to slide off to provide access to the pins, Page 8-11. Been soaking in Kerosene a few days and its still holding on good. Just want to make sure more aggressive methods should be empl...

Re: Throttle length options?
You can probably use bicycle brake or shifter lines and add an end to it or just use some kind of clamp fitting. An old school bike shop should have a selection of items. I broke a clutch cable on a cbr600 in DC and the LBS totally hooked me up on a holiday weekend, never did change it out, worked f...

Re: Aero 125 NH125 Bystarter Pictures
Looks about right, but IIRC, the needle goes through the cylinder and can actually be shimmed like a carb needle. I should have another, all put together, I'll try to snap a pic. Scoot starts super easily, as it should, but will stumble/burble from dead cold if you hammer it. Takes about a short blo...

Re: Engine Swap Parts List: 1984 NQ50 to 1987 SE50P
Try momentarily shorting the big wire side of the relay with a pair of needle nose pliers or similar. If you get a big spark but no movement, something is likely jammed, no spark at all, wires are open somewhere. You could probably just use an ohmmeter as well.

Re: Engine Swap Parts List: 1984 NQ50 to 1987 SE50P
Runs fine but no idle is often a clogged pilot jet. Could be bystarter issues if it starts and idles when cold but not warm.
