Re: 1984 Honda Aero
This has nothing to do with a 1984 Aero, but I'll add this reply here as this is where the pictures are. The pictures are appropriate to the Express SR I am working on this week. I have a question about two pictures with the clear blue hoses earlier in this thread. Looking at the first photo, is it ...

Re: Throttle cable adjustment
Yes, it did for me. I replaced the single throttle cable on my 2000 SA50 P with the double cable for the SA 50.. i.e. 17920-GS7-325. The inner/outer length difference was essentially the same for both cables, and I had no problem. I don't think your cable with the short inner cable would work on any...

Re: Throttle cable adjustment
That looks correct to me.. the cable appears to be fully seated in the carb slide.. I have no more ideas.. anyone else have anything to ad to help windetch?

Re: Throttle cable adjustment
Assuming the cap on the carb is fully screwed down, the carb end of the cable is properly seated in the carb slide, and your carb is stock OEM, I don't think you are missing anything. I installed the same cable on my 2000 yellow Elite S three weeks ago and it fit perfectly.. no problems. Probably ti...

Re: cylinder problems
Low vacuum at the intake pipe can also be caused by an air leak in the bottom end, for example, worn out crankshart seals. I had a Spree that had low vacuum pressure and the left crankshaft seal had come completely out of it's seat in the engine case. My guess at the time was that perhaps a previos ...

Re: The Fleet
I tilt it with the tilt lock on and lift the outside wheel.. and it really does seem to work. I can run the battery down trying or tilt it over and back, and it starts on the first revolution..

Re: The Fleet
I brought home this Express SR today.. fast approaching double digits.. this is a terrible disease. All I wanted was a pair of Gyros, and somehow I am ending up with one of everything Honda 50. It is a cute little bugger, but it is missing a lot of parts that a previous owner decided weren't necessa...

Re: i d this scooter???
There is a 1988 Elite ES first in line in my fleet photo.. for some reason, mine is a fast little bugger, and I haven't figured out why yet.. pegs the speedometer on level ground.. The dead giveaway to the ID is the fuel gauge on the back of the tank.. http://www.vintagegarage.com/FleetBack.JPG soun...

Re: Adding Kickstart to 1984 Spree - Removing Drive Face?
Your reply worries me.. I have changed belts on three of these.. two Sprees and an Elite ES, and the part# 1 slid off easily on all three with no prying. Easy enough that if you laid the scooter over on it's left side, the part would slide off the crankshaft simply by gravity and the weight of the p...

Re: Adding Kickstart to 1984 Spree - Removing Drive Face?
no.. it slips off very easily.. if you take it off, don't loose washer #11, and also remember it when you reinstall #1.

Re: One-Day Spree Homemade Front Basket Project
Had nothing much to do a couple of days ago, so I built and installed two more baskets.. Same eBay baskets as I used on the Spree, but the mount needs to be slightly different for the Elite ES and the Elite S. The design was identical for the Elite ES and the S, so I was able to make and paint one f...
