I was also thinking maybe I should buy a new belt because new they are 15.5 mm wide and in the service manual the limit is 15.0 mm and I measured my belt and it is exactly 15.0 mm so itÔÇÖs at the service limit. Would anyone know if 0.5 mm would really do anything?

And I forgot that I took off the variator backplate also.

I replaced rollers with new 8 grams because the 9 gram rollers had flat spots so I polished them so they are back to normal.

So, that is an option.

This is just an update.

I drilled out the washer in the exhaust, got performance air filter and opened up the second hole all the way, upjetted to #78, and zip tied open oil pump to compensate and poured a small amount in gas tank.

I am reaching about 35-36 on a flat.

If you just want to be just as effective just take off the backplate of the variator with the three bolts and throw the variator back on there. Gain about 5 mph.

I have done the air box derestriction, variator backplate, and exhaust. The stock jet is a #68 and IÔÇÖm upping to a #78. The reason it needs to be blocked off is because it was running too lean. Essentially that means there was too much air in the piston when it was igniting.
