Re: Starter bendix binding

Think I need one , no one has in Australia. Will another model fit? No popular US model I know of. Place a post in the For Sale/Wanted forum here. Baked into the Nifty 50, and Sprees is a single reduction transmission. Their engines rotate CW (viewed at the drive face). The Elite e (SB50) also rota...

Re: In need of 1988 nb50 starter spindle and electric starter

Hi, If the belt cover looks like below, it should nail it as a Pal. In that case you will not want an NB50 starter spindle or starter. Check partsfiche and compare P/N's with the SB50, those parts may be compatible. member_honda_pal_variated.jpg -- The pic above is from an old member's thread here. ...

Re: Electronic 2 Pin LED Flasher Test

The 2 pin adjustable flashers came in a few weeks ago, and I discovered some issues with the new flasher. Most time was spent waiting for new parts: 1) A different set of LED's 12v-24v with built in regulators 2) Electrical components for experiments. At the end of the day - it looks that either fla...

Re: 85 spree carb leaking gas from carb

Good looking carb you have! The wiki has a topic and teardown of a petcock. I think the case halves are pressed together, judging by the teardown pics. http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php/Petcock_Cleaning_and_Anatomy Tank strainer No strainer in my area is a problem, as many scooters have rusty tan...

Re: 85 spree carb leaking gas from carb

I just recently replaced the carb float needle. I read that the float can get cracked and let gas in, then it won't press on the needle to seal. So, I'm planning to pull the carb back out and checking the float to see if gas is in it. Checking the float is good. The needle seat in the carb body can...

Re: Electronic 2 Pin LED Flasher Test

It was a while ago now, I think anything that's more Ohms than a filament bulb would do. Anyway, you might get lucky with your purchase Thanks - I'll be prepared to add loads if needed. Haven't looked in to this seriously yet (not at that stage with any builds) The circuits I've seen either need a ...

Re: 85 spree carb leaking gas from carb

That's the carb bowl overflow nipple. http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php/Carburetor,_Picture_Explanation_of_Lines When the overflow leaks fuel when sitting there are two issues present: The petcock is not sealing as it should with no vacuum present The carb float needle is not sealing against its ...

Re: Spree aftermarket led blinker

Edit: Add The heatsink and derating conversation is what I try to avoid when I post "use 6 ohm/50 watt resistors" for LED loads. Example of Power Resistor Derating Aluminum encased resistors allowed for reduced size vs 'free air' power resistors. They are expected to be bolted down to a su...
