The 1986-87 Sprees, all the SB50s and the 1985 Aero 50 all used the same gasket so the reed block will fit. The 1984-85 Spree shows a different gasket but I know the '86-'87 gasket fits on the '84-'85 Spree, so yeah, they should all fit. I would have to think about the reed thing. ok let me know if...

ill have a better pipe and a ported intake .posibly ported exaust port.mabe make some carbonfiber reeds,, with all that will up jetting be nessisaryBear45-70 wrote:Not without an bigger intake and carb and a better exhaust.

yeah i was gona try and make my own exaust.. but a ported in take probably wont do any good with the bbk .... if i dont get a bbk will the homemade pipe and a ported intake do the stock bore any good??

Of course the 48 will make more torque and horsepower than the 44, there is no replacement for displacement. BUT, that does not mean that the 44 isn't more streetable than the 48 and the 44 is most assuredly easier to tune that the 48. Besides that to get that power out of the 48, you need a bigger...

i was gona port the in take try and make a tuned pipe out of the muffelers and expantion chambers i have .. what kind of center spring should i get ..
also can you get more power, top end, or acceleration out of a stock bore buy using a ported intake and tuned pipe

i read on the wiki thread about porting intakes ,it said you can make a stok spree intake perform better after porting than a stock sb50 will work
