Re: Crank Seals Vs. Rich Running
I'm in the same boat as you so I'm really interested to hear what people have to say. My build hasn't been running very well and I think the crank seals are leaking. Been looking to replace the seals but I don't want to have to do a full rebuild.

Re: Sym Wolf Classic 150 OWNER OPINIONS
The MSF course I took 3 weeks ago had a few of these bikes brand new. I didn't get a chance to ride it but I talked to the guy who was riding one and he said he didn't like it. The bikes were brand new but throughout the course it always had problems (died often, choke was weird). He also had it was...

Re: 72cc Stock carb and trans tuning.
Hey honda what's your YouTube channel? Curious to watch some videos and listen to bikes. It'll help me listen to my own bike and help me see if it's running right. Thanks a lot. Sorry about the off topic post!

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
Alright second hear cycle was a success. Air screw set at 1 1/8 turn. Seems like it's working okay for now. Rode for about 10 miles and temps stayed below 280 this time. All the while varying the throttle. Will get more heat cycles in tomorrow. Won't open it up until I get about 150 miles on it.

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
I was doing exactly as you said. Varying the throttle between idle and 1/4 throttle. Had only been riding for about 3/4 of a mile when it occurred. I really hope it was just a fouled plug. What are the causes of a fouled plug? About to go for another test ride now. And yes. There's a metal bb pellet...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
Well it idles. Haven't gone for another test ride since I'm scared that I experienced a soft seize. I think it was just a fouled plug but idk. Still scared LOL. Can it soft seize without over heating? I know 100% that temps never got over 260LoveMyHonda wrote:Nice, so its running ok now?

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
The plug was a brand new BR8HIX plug. It looked wet and the color was tan brown, definitely not white. I am running main size 128 and a premix ratio of 32:1 (4 oz of Honda GN2 oil per gallon). I put it in a separate gas can filled to 2 gallons exact, added 8 oz oil and shook it up just to be sure it...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
ALRIGHT got some progress on this thing. Got the 48 pilot to run pretty well. Adjusted idle screw so the scooter idled low enough and then adjusted the air mix screw. Bike had the highest idle with the air screw all the way out so I assumed the pilot was too big at 48. Put in a 45 and set the air sc...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
Turning in the idle screw makes it idle faster and if I turn the idle screw out enough it will die. With the idle set low enough by the idle screw, the air mixture screw will kill the bike if I screw it all the way in. I have finals this week but I finish today and will have time to work on this tom...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
I don't have a propane torch but I do have a can of carb cleaner. How do I go about seeing if I have a leak with carb cleaner? I am thinking the idle is set so high using the idle screw that it makes it so the air mixture screw has almost no effect. I have no idea though. I'll give the carb cleaner ...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
Hmmmmmm what should I do? I don't really have the expertise to build a leak tester. And the air mixture screw doesn't seem to have any effect on the idle speed. All of the idle is seemingly dependent on the idle screw. Too far out on the idle screw and the bike won't idle and the more I screw the id...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
From the chart that shows what affects what, it says the air screw affects mostly idle and all the way up until a little less than 1/2 throttle. With that, I'm assuming some air gets into the engine other than the what the air screw meters because if not then there would be no air during 1/2-WOT. Bu...

Re: My first elite build
Meaning part throttle while on the stand? Or meaning part throttle while riding?

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol
I thought it means the pilot is too large?graphite9 wrote:The air idle screw adjusts the amount of air at idle. If you can turn the screw all the way in and it still runs you have an air leak.
The idle screw is what seems to be affecting the idle speed the most.

Re: My first elite build
Alright well I am slowly getting closer to riding this thing for the first time and I can hardly wait. Got the carb idle/air screws dialed in enough to where it can idle so I went ahead and did some heat cycles. I let it idle on the stand till the CHT said about 210 degrees and then I let it cool do...
