Re: Trying to get Spree running again after long sitting
I didn't spray the starting fluid directly into the hole, I did it from several inches back so half or more of the spray ended up on the outside of the engine, so just a few drops got in the engine really. Anyhow, I just did that one tiny spray from a distance and didn't do anymore. It didn't do any...

Trying to get Spree running again after long sitting
Hey all. Yep, I'm still around and have my Spree. I Have had a Helix for a long while now but hung into the Spree since no one wanted to give me any kind of reasonable amount of money for it. Anyhow, I am trying to get it running again. Needless to say, it's needing some help. I put a charger on it ...

And he STILL wants to bill me for $260. I'm just gonna leave the bike there. If you have a title to it, go in and try to get $50 out of him in exchange for the title. It'll be worth more to him to try to sell if he has the title, plus you'll have $50 you don't have now. This is like what the ...

27. I've met some people before who had Honda Metros (they were all related. was a mom, dad and adult daughter. the son who I never met had a lil ruckus) but they didn't seem very interested in the idea of group rides. Talked to a guy once who had a 150cc'ish Chinese scooter. I have seen others ridi...

My local Honda dealer gave me a free key for my Spree. Prices for keys can vary by the place you go to though. I have a late model Ford car that uses transponder keys. The big, local Ford dealer wanted about $90 for a duplicate key since they had to make one using their computer hooked to the car as...

The part number for the screw (it includes the spring) is 16016-197-004. I will be attempting to buy/order one on Tuesday when the Honda place here is open again. The spring failed (I guess it was too compressed, couldn't spring out enough) and mine fell out during riding but it didn't effect it (st...

While I would like to get an Elite 80 for faster US/State highway travel, I might end up with a Ruckus because of how much more rugged it looks and it can carry quite a bit of cargo (especially under the seat). And anyway, a Ruckus should get up to 40-43mph anyway. Much better than 30mph of a Spree....

Replacement oil cap?
Somehow my oil cap got broken. I guess from age and bring screwed on so much.
Are these still available from Honda? Or can I get a universal one (for much cheaper I'm sure) from a normal mower parts retailer?
