Re: engine rebuild kit?
the spree runs ok. it just seems like it can use some new internal parts its seems a little shaky at times like the engine starts to back off and the scooter will not get up to top speed. 25mph max. where would i get the parts you were talking about? For a stock Spree 25mph is about it,some people ...

Re: Replacing the rear shock on my 88 Honda elite SA50 LX
The shock holds the spring in place. The shock is at full extension when the scooter is on the center stand. It may extend about 1/4" more when you take it out.If the replacement shock is longer you will have to compress it a little to get it in.Bolt one end in first then compress/wedge the other...

I got you.I just went off.Back when i was younger,15-16(close to the beginning of time) i had a couple of "friends" that showed that kind of lack of respect.Decided to not put up with that ever again and cut them lose.Made better friends that are still my friends.Good luck.Carp....ps..at l...

Re: High-5 for elite sa50...
I'd hit that idiot up for the cost of repairing the scooter. The wheel is $25 - $50 used ,the plastic parts (depending on what is messed up) $25 -$100 used. And yours was in good shape ,might be hard to find good clean parts. You truly should tell him he has to pay up.Say you borrowed a car then bent a...

Re: 3.25-10 Tires
The Pirelli SL26 350X10" did not fit on my brother's '95 SA50.Rubbed the fan shroud so bad the tire would not spin, it needed about 1/4" more room.Hit the shock(hard) too,but he does have a CH80 rear shock on his scooter(when mounted the CH80 shock sits about 3/16" closer to the wheel...

Re: 3.25-10 Tires
I do know the Pirelli SL26 90/90 is 3.2"-3.3" wide, almost 1/2"(12.2mm) wider than a"2.75".None of the sizes are even close to standardized, even within a particular brand. It seems the inch(2.75/275,3.00/300,3.50/350 etc.) run closer to the nomenclature size(Why? I don't know)...

Check out pts-tools.com or KBCTools.com they'll have the drill bits your after.Look for the "jobbers" drill bits for wire gauge sizes #60(.0400 around jet#101)#59(.0410" around jet#104),#58(.0420" around jet #107),#57(.0430" around jet #109).They also have the Metric "j...

Re: 3.25-10 Tires
a 100/90 is close to a 3.25 in size of which there are 3 i see in Parts Unlimited street catalog- Bridgestone Hoop Dunlop TT91 IRC MB-38 Your math is wrong.100/90 means 100mm wide/90%(of 100mm)tall. So that would be 100mm divided by 25.4(25.4mm per in.)= 3.937".I know actual tire sizes run a b...

Re: 2001 SA/16: BBK, V8 28mm; Stock Carb Jetting Advice?
Wheelman do you mean a 1.05mm drill bit? Or did you mean a drill bit that will give a 101.5 jet (approximately)? That would be a #60/.0400",right?Carp
