I think the decibel levels of your intake and exhaust may be a dead give away.

If you make it go 60mph with stock intake db levels and stock muffler, then I want one!

Help Diagnose top speed issue

Okay, like normal I don't post on this forum for 6 months, then get on a scooter kick and post on 5 different threads when i should just start my own. So here is my setup corsa 72cc, oko24, pg long, 9:1 gears, 36grams of roller weight, ruckus variator, zx rear pulley and clutch. Yellow contra spring...

Re: ZX trans how-to

ahh the good old days, I read through all 12 pages to refresh my brain on all the zx stuff. I'm only hitting 57mph on my corsa setup now, I'm thinking either small variator, wrong belt length or possibly too stiff of contra spring may be the culprits. Gotta take everything apart and measure stuff, b...

Greetings: ... Turns out Bando makes them. F6Bando18.14Gates17.75.jpg At 771mm , it measures a couple mm longer than the Gates. ... you mean 671? i'm making a table of all the "zx trans" belt options with actual widths, lengths, advertised size, and manufacturer, and then find prices on a...

Re: Met 660 x 18 x 28 Belt in ZX Trans?

Greetings: Gates 660x18x28 had originally been intended as a gift for my brother to use on his '05 Met. Still needing a gift for him, I stopped at Deepinnaharta Honda to see if they had a Met belt in stock. Turns out Bando makes them. F6Bando18.14Gates17.75.jpg At 771mm, it measures a couple mm lon...

Re: Met 660 x 18 x 28 Belt in ZX Trans?

Greetings: ... by using the ZX transmission setup, properly spaced and shimmed. EEEK, what do you mean by this? Mine isn't shimmed, though I do recall buying a zx boss I believe. I have no washers or shims and mine runs fine. Hopefully I didn't miss something years ago when i bought my setup. But I...

Re: Corsa+scorpion+9to1

my corsa+scorpion and 8.44 to 1 has done 68mph (with a slight downhill) but take off is still awesome i have to lean in to it on launch other wise it just wheelies.Even at 30mph when i twist the wrist hard it wants to wheelie perhaps my jetting is too rich and my variator weights are too heavy, bec...

Calculating mph

Hey guys, i'm trying to find out how to calculate mph on my scooter for various gear ratios. I was searching around but I can't find the math behind it. I found the ratios here http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10334 and on the wiki link at the end of the thread. I'm sure wheel si...

Re: 2-Stroke NS250 at $10K Too Close To Home

Welcome back steffen707 :hi: Thanks mousewheels! I always seem to get on a scooter kick every 6 months or so. I'm finally getting around to fixing up this zx50 I bought so I can sell it and make some room. I still have not put the new parts on the gyro I bought. But i am happy that I got my corsa b...

Re: 2-Stroke NS250 at $10K Too Close To Home

I hate to disagree under the circumstances, Sanj, but The Dog is using your correctly. Otherwise the sentence would be "... you are (the contraction you're) brain is dead..." I hate to disagree with you Wheels but... dog said "your brain dead" not "your brain is dead" ...

Re: Hot-Rodding Cost

i've always heard you get about 25% of the money back from performance car parts. Spend $4000 on a turbo kit, sell it for $1000. ouch Scooters are cheap fun. Find a nice Elite for $600-$1000 and throw $300 in it. Have a kick * scooter. or find a non running one from somebody that doesn't know mechan...

Re: 24mm oko, pg long, nikasil 78cc BBK, what jetting?

Hey guys! I'm back for my 1 year update. :p When I first did this build I was chasing my tail with the jetting. I had a lean condition and a rich condition verified by my wideband o2 sensor in the mid range. It was very annoying. Bakaracer and others on here helped me tremendously, and I turned to t...

I'll try the rubbing compound first, then the wet sanding. Probably won't get around to this for a while as i've got other projects with priority.
