Re: '85 Spree randomly died
First of all, if a seal blew out, it was only one, and typically, it is the left one which is the easiest one to change. The seal is still available from your Honda dealer, or you can just push the old seal back into place if you want to use your old one. The part number is 91201-GK8-003 OIL SEAL (1...

Before you start work on it, open the drain screw at the bottom of the carb and make sure a lot of gas runs out. If it does, then have a look at these ...

All of what motormike said and especially #2. Also, we're assuming that you have the stock air filter box in place with an air filter in it.

Re: 1988 Honda elite e 49 cc
Please go back and read motormike's first reply to you. IMHO, you are trying to make your SB50 idle on the main jet, as your idle jet is still blocked up. Clean the jet out with a "High E" guitar string you can get at any music shop and stop thinking carb cleaner will clean it. Note the ri...

Item 1 is an easy fix. Simply install an M6 helicoil and your repair will be stronger than new. This problem is not uncommon as well

Re: Help me build my 88 Honda elite e please
no and no. For you to get 60-70 mph, follow motormikes advice. Also take a minute to edit your profile to indicate the state where you live, and you may find some local help. Speaking of modifying the AF05E engine, what happened to eclark5483? Haven't heard from him in a couple of years. I hope he d...

No, I don't use any fuel additives. I do use non-eth gasoline, but also, I ride each of my scooters at least once a month.

Re: Clogged Idle Jet
I don't think the pilot jet has a straight hole all the way through it. Buy a "High E" guitar string and cut a piece of it about an inch and a half long and put the piece in a pin vice. Working from the bottom of the jet, spin the pin vice with your fingers while slowly pushing up. Again, ...
