Re: Saratoga Spree~!
I do have the original gasket on the case. The kick starter does not seem to be binding, and the regular starter seems to be working well. I will checked the kick again and see how it feels when I operate it with my hand. I dont recall if i have washer in the rear, i will double check that. The whee...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!
No, I don't have one yet, but I tried it at different tightnesses, and for it to spin better the bolt needs to be obviously too loose. Any other possibilities besides the torque?

Re: Saratoga Spree~!
Busy morning. I aired up the tires but have to mess with them more as they are not completely centered on the rim. I also put the air box, muffler, and new wheels on the scooter, adjusted the brake cables and cleaned up the black plastic, and connected the fuel and vacuum lines. Things are really co...

Re: Bradthreee's Feedback Thread
I purchased two wheels, a throttle cable and a brake lever from brad. He was a little hard to get a hold of to set up the buy, because of work. It was worth the short wait though because everything arrived packed in bubble wrap as described for great price. Oh and he even sent the tracking number fo...

Re: Turn Signals not Flashing
Yes, I am working on the 86 spree. Mouse, thank you for the detailed directions on checking the ground with a meter. I do plan to put LEDs on the front but for troubleshooting purposes I have standard bulbs hooked up to all four corners. Today I installed and wired up the new rear signals (standard ...

Re: Turn Signals not Flashing
I have all the covers off as I am still working on everything. Will check the battery with the meter to be sure. When I go to trace the green wires, am I just checking that the front one is connected to the body at the end? If I run a temporary ground wire to the front flashers and still do not get ...

Re: Turn Signals not Flashing
The battery is new and I had just taken the battery keeper off it as it read charged, so I have that covered. This leaves the bad ground. Does my rear ground sound good?(spliced to the brake lite groud). If so this leaves the front, can we access where the other end of the front signal ground wire a...

Turn Signals not Flashing
I have run into an annoying problem, the turn signals will not flash. When I turn the ignition to on and move the turn signal switch to one side, the bulbs on that side will light I get one click of the clicker and then thats it they stay lit. No flashing action. When I bought the scooter all the si...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!
TIme for updates! The case of the stuck screws has been solved. Yesterday after a few more good taps with the hammer they each gave way. I think sitting with the WD-40 for a few days helped. I also found a possible culprit, there was dried dirt inside the assembly(as I have also found all on the und...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!
Exactly, it will twist for more throttle but does not return back to idle position. I think the spring in the carb is good as I actually just replaced it with a new one as part of my rebuild. I will try to lube up the cable, I take it there is no spring in the twist grip? On my moped there is the sp...
