Well it will start with starting fluid, but it wont idle. and as soon as i turn the throttle , it shuts off. Suggestions? bummer.. if mines been sitting, it takes about 3 times with the starter fluid. Even if it wont idle, just barely pull the throttle and see if you can get the engine going. Then ...

Ok, I do have a spark.. and compression is ok. However, I am still having a gas overflow problem in my carb. well just pop open the airbox and look at the filter, if its dirty clean it. dont clean it w/ water though, as it will be too dry afterwards and run lean. I still say that it might be the idle adjustment. Keep track of its position on paper and turn it left or right a few times and see if that helps...

wil it cause a spree not to stay running? the spree will start run for a few seconds and die. if you rev the throttle it will rev bog down and stall. has a clean carb an air filter. whats wrong? Compression? yeh check compression. how to test: 1) take out your spark plug, 2) place your finger firmly over the hole, and 3) try to turn over the piston. I wish I could tell you how it affected my speed, but I messed with the airfilter, and now It wont get passed 30. So I'm hot sure if affected my speed or not. The tires were about $30.00 a piece. new tubes were $5.00 a piece. So it isn't an expensive investment. as in airfilter stays open a bit now...

Hey guys, dad said yes the fan does turn. The starter wont turn the motor even with the spark plug removed. just doesnt turn over, like you go to start it and the starter motor is making a noise but it just wont turn the thing over.
