Re: Carb/Jet Tuning
Went back a pilot size and idle seems pretty solid. Now trying to tune for needle/main jet. It accelerates pretty darn fast up to about 25-30 then stays flat. It feels a little sluggish about 1/2 or 3/4 throttle to WOT. That is to rich correct? I had a 108 main in and put in a 105 and feels little b...

Re: Speedometer builds
For elite SR can use the Kymco zx 50 speedo http://www.ebay.com/itm/KYMCO-ZX50-ZX-50-2000-SPEEDO-CLOCK-DASH-08875-MILES-/222095546599?hash=item33b5ed18e7:g:LdcAAOSw54xUWQzw&vxp=mtr which from what others have said is plug and play and goes to 60. Theres also some posts ive seen about a converter...

Re: Problem installing BBK
Springs and rollers are defiantly doable. Right now the scoot has amazing pickup, I keep up with or pass most cars til I hit 30 then I'm left behind, partly because I'm still taking it easy for break in and not wanting to WOT it. For gears should I be looking at 9:1 or 8 something?

Re: Problem installing BBK
That's getting little more then what im wanting to spend. Ive already put quite a bit into the scooter and just trying to break that 30 mph barrier right now. I found gears for $50 and then i need to have the gear pressed on correct? Is the clutch or vari required to make the trans hold up to the ne...

Re: Problem installing BBK
So the break In seems to be going well, about a tank and 1/2 through of gas so far. Bike has great acceleration but of course still low top speed. Looking at picking up gears and need some advice. I've heard 9:1 is perfect for 72cc but also seen talk of 8.44:1? I'm just looking for 45-50ish with dec...

Re: Ordering Parts Online?
think i realized the bigger issue, the plug i ordered was a 45 degree cap, with the malossi cylinder the plug is moved and now the bottom of the seat hits the coil wire, hit a decent sized bump and they knock. Either need to get a longer shock or try and find a 90 degree coil wire.

Re: Carb/Jet Tuning
So i dried the spigot/carb and wiped down everything and took it for a little spin around the block just to get it a decent temp and see how it does. When i got it back home it seems like its back to normal. It idles pretty decent but i have the mixture screw all the way in "to big jet right&qu...

Re: Carb/Jet Tuning
Oil plug is fixed, put the oil pump seal on and it stopped at the perfect height. now that you mention it i think it might be leaking at the carb to manifold. I noticed today when i took the pilot jet out the back side of the carb was a little wet and the rubber spigot was pretty wet, i didnt think ...

Re: Carb/Jet Tuning
I did at one point now im not sure where to go jet size, i had a 38 in and had the idle pretty spot on. Smooth at 1800, but was pretty far out on the mixture screw..so i figured i was rich? and went down one size to 35 but seemed i had to keep the mixture screwed all the way in to have it idle right...

Re: Whats the best place to mount a temp gauge? SPREE!
I may have gotten a dud but skip the Andytach, mine was junk. Worked for couple days then errors out and freezes, have to remove battery to reset it so it works again. Just issued a return for it, gonna try this one now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E8ZNBF8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UT...

Re: 01 Elite SR "GOOCH"
Looking great! makes me want to do so much more to my scoot. I'm running the exact same but haven't touched the transmission yet. I havent heard of 9:44 gears, ive heard of 9:1 and 8:44 is that something new? Also unless i passed over it i saw you had a bent rear spark plug, was that from the cleara...
