Re: Flash 3.26Q

:drama: Well, similarly, I was out late last night for a quiet ride on the daily rider, pushing 50 for about 9 or 10 miles, took a stop at idle, when I rode off again it felt like it was hot and "missing" fire or low fuel in the bowl, just as you described. So I limped it home, sputtering ...

Re: Trailtech TTO CHT (Cylinder head temp) Gauge acting goof

Hey Ben, I think it is the normal operating mode for that particular unit. I have one on my daily rider and it flashes the max. temp every 6 seconds, then goes back to current temps. I think it says this also on the package. Have not had any other issues so far since May of this year. Of course I he...

Re: Front Wheel Swap

Does anybody know of an aftermarket front rim that will bolt on to an 01 elite. Mine is bent and if i have to pay $50 for a new "used" one then i might as well do something that i like. Difficult to find aftermarket drum brake front wheel, but for about $70 you can buy a brand new "s...

Re: possible power gain

He says it sounds meaner my money is exhaust leak of some sort I have to agree it sounds like air leaking into the motor. Look for a small amount of oil seeping out somewhere, like at the gaskets on the intake or the carburetor. Check to see if your air filter is still in tact. I have had that happ...

Re: Transmission binding.

Have you rode it yet? I had one that did the same thing after changing the bearings. After riding it some, it freed up and I could turn it by hand. Maybe the bearings hadn't seated at first. Also, I would not use other thickness gaskets than stock. Hope this was helpful to you.

Re: clutch housing question

Yes that does help I think I will order the gasket but might do a little test cruising with it off so when people run it without the clutch cover do you just need to periodically check for moisture or gas/oil I would say yes, check often. Use some drain line on the overflow nipple from the carburet...

Re: clutch housing question

The oil and gas that drips into that area causes the gasket to become larger and seemingly impossible to re-install properly. You don't want any debris or moisture in the clutch/drive belt area, especially oil and/or gas. To reduce that possibility, I have used black rtv sealant to seal it up when n...

I made a choke lever from a wire coat hanger, works beautifully!
