Re: Michigan Fall Colors

more angles and more pics of the scooter would always be appreciated! Love the ride. I bet that is nice any time of the year. Do you ride out there or throw the scoot in the back of the car? There's some nice roads around here, but getting to them requires 70mph capabilities. Its nice to load up and...

Re: Twin dio possible?

New plan. I have an engine case that was destroyed by an attempt at boring out the case. With the new intake design that I would like to use, I decided that it was time for a new approach. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o210/majourlittle/IMAG0668.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o210/majou...

Re: Twin dio possible?

I have acces to a 3 axis cnc that will be just fine for this project. There wont be an extra eye. The bike will require a special extended swingarm to accomadate the wider engine and more HP. The stator side will be the prodruding side. The rear wheel must be on the bike centerline, which means that...

Re: Twin dio possible?

Alright, me and Mr. Graham bell sat down for a little brain-fart session and after banging my head against the wall for a few hours, this is what fell out. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o210/majourlittle/Twincyldesignincreasedcrankarea.jpg Basically I will shave 8mm off of each case and then ma...

Re: Twin dio possible?

Well it appears that grainger has 175mm long M6 double ended studs for (reasonably) cheap. I think that I may machine this whole thing as one piece. Wonder what a chunk of billet will cost!

Re: Add or don't add wheelie bar

Thoes that have stretched before, what would you say the minimum stretch length would be for a stock frame bike to keep the front planted. My current build has put me in a position that the front wheel will loose contact with the street under medium acceleration and has suprised me a few times exiti...

Re: Waving

I come from the school of two fingers down, or keep two wheels down. I will throw out three fingers for trikes/can-ams. I got to throw one finger up to some * on a sportsbike doing wheelies with no safety gear on R-66. I hope he wrecks... I "Peace-sign" everyone that I see on two wh...

Re: Twin dio possible?

Im not doing this to be unique. I am atempting this for the * of it. I am also doing this on a cnc so that it can be rapidly replicated for others in the I have an idea of changing the position of the intakes onto the front side of the motor. The theory is that it will pull a/f directly into the cra...

Re: Twin dio possible?

Digging this sucker out of the bin. I spent a few nights knocking out a desing in Autocad Inventor and I think that I ahve all of the design kinks worked out... Prototype time! I have an engine half on our CNC mill and I have pulled all of the bolt holes locations as well as the crank center and the...

Re: Disc brake Conversion: Joe dirt style

I have though about doing this before as well. I have held back because I need to get the scooter to scoot first... My though was to build a caliper bracket off of the pivot arm. Because it is attached to the center of the wheel and is pivoting from the front fork, It always stays stationary in refe...

It seems that everything is good to go... So what are you using to measure the temp with? What does the temp read at ambient?

Re: 50mm taiwan bore info

As confirmed by Darin, The Tiawan bores lack a considerable ammount of QC. In fact the piston that I had in my Tiwaneese bore was much bigger at the skirt than at the dome. I believe that if I had run the bore withought checking this beforehand, I wold have soft seized under normal running conditions.

Re: best way to remove spray paint and clear from spree

Musclecars on spike tv used a method thst i have yet to try. To remove a rattlecan paint job from a fox body mustangs grill, they soaked the plastic part in brake fluid.

If you try it, test it on a trashed panel first.
