Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
Real nice rack there, looks secure. :thumbwink: Plenty of questions: 1) I can see the receiver part, but how do the outriggers tie into your Jeep? Looks clean! I tapped holes in the Curt hitch to mount the stabilizer bars. http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2813 ...

Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
Final shots of the hauler ready for the trip to the beach! Decided to keep it simple. Oh, the things you can do with 1/2" EMT and Velcro. http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2962 http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=477&pictureid=2963 http:...

Re: Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
This is what I came up with. Fabricated it from some scraps. Tested on a mountain bike trip and as soon as I adjust it for the Spree I'll post pics. So far so good. Thanks guys for the suggestions and ideas.

Honda Spree Hitch Hauler
I have seen most of the commercial hitch carriers for motorcycles and wheelchairs but they are all universal application, too large and therefore contain many parts for trying to cover all applications. Has anyone fabricated a receiver hitch carrier specific for a Spree? Did a forum search but nothi...

Re: testing oil pump
Connect the oil line briefly from your reservoir straight to the manifold fitting (bypassing the pump) and fire it up. You should have a very small amount of oil dripping out of the pump line, you disconnected from the manifold to do this, as the bike runs. I'm guessing your pump is good. You may h...

Re: Problems uploading pics
I convert and upload all my pics right from my HD and resize them using Irfanview (freeware). Sounds like you have a conversion issue and yes jpeg is the flavor of choice.

Re: 86 Spree not getting fuel
You stated that you "blew" into the vacuum line from the petcock when you should have been "sucking" to create vacuum. Loosen the carb bowl drain screw while you are "sucking" and see if you get a steady stream of fuel draining out. I'm guessing you have a vacuum issue ...

Re: '86 Spree will not kick over
I had same prob and thought it was the bystarter or carb. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. These small engines need all the vacuum they can get to draw the fuel in. I'm running at a lowly 100psi and she now starts on the third or fourth kick, cold. Also sounds like someone has put the wrong size O-r...

FYI,
7 pennies, stacked up, will perfectly plug your NQ50 bystarter port.

Re: Bad oil pump?
I've had my pump apart several times, no prob ('86 NQ50). Your oil pump may not be bad but may need proper priming. Here is the China Freight pump I use to prime mine. Placed teflon tape on the spout fittings and pumped that puppy!

NQ50 vs. NQ50D What's the Difference?
I run a bone-stock, clipped (sans turn signals, mirrors), black, 1986 NQ50. What's the difference between the NQ50 and the NQ50D? Cosmetics maybe?
