2t oil seepage
Hey guys. My issue is that there is 2 stroke oil seeping into the carb when the bike is sitting. I'm currently doing a tune up and gears on a friends 01 SA50 sr and I noticed a small puddle on the garage floor after a couple of days. I found the drips coming from the bowl and overflow tube area. Bow...

Thanks guys!
Ptsg, what pipe did you pick up? I've been googly eyeing this little guy for a while but have yet to pull the trigger. I'd actually buy it now but I've recently learned there may be a better obtainable pipe on the market.

I'm a zippy man myself. Pretty soft but awesome in the hard corners. Can't say if the 100/90 would fit the af16, but the 90/90 fits like a glove on my af05's

Re: Honda CH80 will not START!!!
I've seen ch80's jump time from stretched chains before. I'm replacing my stretched chain now('93 w/ 11k). It didn't jump surprisingly, but it was so stretched it bent my tensioner arm toward the case causing the chain to rub the case and eventually snap the arm in two. After it snapped it still did...

Glad you figured it out eventually.graphite9 wrote:Mousewheels nailed it. Maybe you have some spline damage, or boss damage. Rotate the engine around, with the face, and vari installed, tight, and see how much that vari wobbles.

Re: Drive belt breaking slider guides? (moved 94-01 belt top
Not sure what belt you actually have tested, but the part number I'm finding for an 01 sa50 is 23100-GG2-751. And considering many of us have used the malossi belt with zero issues (especially no issues with broken ramp slides ), I believe your broken slide issues the are coming from somewhere else ...

Re: My New SpreeY6 Build...
Really nice work! Love the color scheme. If I HAD to critique anything it would only be to minimize the gap between the front fender and the tree by lowering the forks, just to make the front end more flush. But I understand that would make for some seriously dangerous rake without bringing the rear...

Thanks lmh! Never thought to use it on paper gaskets. I'll have to try that out as well.

Re: Engine gasket installation
Thanks sir wheelman. I have heard of using engine oil on the gasket before installing, but I was skeptical of doing so. I like the hi temp multi purpose approach. Much appreciation my friend.

Engine gasket installation
Hey guys, just curious if there is a secret or better way to install paper gaskets for metal to metal surfaces so that it's easier to remove when changing the next time. I've had a couple ch80 engines apart recently and realized every time I've disassembled one in the past I've had a b**** of a time...
