Re: Benji's metro

Ya, but I'm not on Facebook cuz of the whole Zuckerburg-is-a-reptile-alien thing. This happened. Lowered it and put on a foam Airfilter. Should make it sound cooler. After I figure out the ecu thing I'm gonna pick up some ruckus wheels for it m https://s26.postimg.org/3txfm8b95/IMG_20180331_19390674...

Ya jinxed me Mike! I actually think it's bad. I'm looking on the Bay for a new one, looks like $150 or so. Also gonna need a fuel pump, cuz this one's missing it's pump.

Re: Benji's metro

Heard about the crankshaft, but they fixed that problem in '06 supposedly, and this one's an '06. And yup, I grew up with lowered cars and trucks being the norm haha. I sprayed off most of the dust, I'm hoping it doesn't have much more hiding in some crevices. I'm in the parts collection stage. So f...

Not sure what's wrong, I've ordered a key/switch and an airbox. I'm about to go buy a battery for her, hopefully itll start up easy.

Re: Benji's metro

Picked her up in Vegas. About a 20 hour drive there to get her, had breakfast at the Bellagio, then drove 20 hours back home.

Benji's metro

Hey guys. Been a while since I've been around here. I got a metro free from a member on 49cc. It's a Honda so I figured I could post the build here. I've been busy w lots of Yamaha projects lately. Here's a pic. I just lowered the rear. I'm gonna lower the front to match and put ruckus wheels on it....

Re: 1984 Honda Nifty 50 (NQ50)

I found two sprees close by to me on Craigslist, they both want $500us w/o titles, ones missing some plastics. But they've been there a while tho.

Re: 1984 Honda Nifty 50 (NQ50)

Ha! And it comes with a manual. That alone is probably worth something haha. Value is hard to place but I would check eBay and some other places for spree parts to get a feel for em. As for motor swaps, I think you typically have to make a custom mount but an aero or tact or elite or dio motor would...

Re: 1984 Honda Nifty 50 (NQ50)

Eclark is right it's basically a spree with different trim. I may have a an oil tank if you need one. Maybe a horn too.

This should be in eclarks or vintagegarages collection haha.

Re: 1984 Honda Nifty 50 (NQ50)

You can break it down and ship it fairly easily, or offer parts for sale from it. The headset, controls, seat, taillight, and plastics are all probably worth quite a bit of money here or eBay or on Facebook (crazy popular in Hawaii)

If you ever feel like selling it please post it here as there are quite a few rare parts on that bike. Nice find!

Re: Reed block replacements for CT intake

You should be able to use a reed block from a kx65 and then upgrade to whatever reeds you want, I suggest boyeson or v-force. My CT manifold took a little grinding to fit, but I was able to get a stock kx65 block to work for me.

Oh ya that computer thing... How about a china-relli? Cheap and plentiful, and easy to find parts for. I actually have an extra short case lying around..
