Re: Are these Factory 1986 Honda Spree Accessories?
The front basket mount looks homemade, and the basket is not a factory accessory Spree front basket. The basket itself may be a factory accessory rear basket. The factory accessory front basket mount is a chrome piece that uses all three mounting points. The front basket is smaller than what you hav...

Re: Gyro - general thread
I mounted the ChengShins this morning, and took the Gyro out for a spirited drive around the sub-division. The tires seem ok at 11PSI, with good cornering grip and a soft ride. I guess I will keep them on until they wear out. Here is what they looked like after the ride: http://www.vintagegarage.com...

Re: Gyro - general thread
The 2 ply Cheng Shin Bristers Thunder Kart knobby tires arrived today, and I think I will try them first. They are closest in spec to the Made in Japan Dunlop originals. Originals: 2PR tube type, 330 pounds max weight at 24 PSI, DOT Cheng Shin Bristers Thunder Kart: 2PR tube type, max weight unspeci...

Re: Gyro - general thread
I picked up the sawtooth tires from Tractor Supply just now, and while they don't say Carlisle, they are probably the same. The specs in the Carlisle catalog on page 14 say 6 ply and a max load of 885 pounds at 95 PSI. If you double that for two wheels in the back, I think that means a max load of 1...

Re: Gyro - general thread
I rode my TG50 this week, and after finding the gas tank empty when I tried to start it, I realized that perhaps I had a gasoline leak. Sure enough, after the ride, I had had strong smell of gasoline in the shop the next day, and decided to fix it today. The carb float valve wasn't seating, and the ...

Assorted Gyros and Automotos in Lake City, Florida
This sounds like it might be me, but it isn't.. I don't know the seller, but his interests were similar to mine:

Re: What is this SA50/SB50 front book rack?
As it turns out, I don't have an Aero 80, so I really don't have a use for the rack.. I also gave away all of my SB50s so I can't use it there. I have two SA50s that it would fit on, but I already have homemade racks with baskets on them, and this Aero80 rack doesn't lend itself to basketization any...

Re: What is this SA50/SB50 front book rack?
mousewheels was right.. I finally found a photo of it.. not sure how I missed it, but it is on page 2 of the 1983 Aero 50/80 brochure. I am still unclear about the two holes on top. Here is the brochure: http://www.motorscooterguide.net/brochures/HondaUSA1983Aero.pdf And the photo from the brochure:...

And here is one for a NB50? (ad says NC50) without the spring clamp on the bottom. I already have a couple of these:

Re: What is this SA50/SB50 front book rack?
That does look like it! good info mousewheels.. now I need to find it in a Honda accessory brochure, and also figure out what the threaded holes in the top bar are used for.. Jeepers! Here is another one.. this one is new and comes with the Hondaline paperwork. I bet the paperwork clarifies the use ...
