Re: Buying first motorcycle!

Pulled the trigger and got the ninja 2014 from the dealership for $5420 out the door. Pretty good considering I'm in San Francisco, California. Here's the pics of her! http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag12/bfowler4/F6ABF4F8-BACA-4443-B339-CA2B4FA6F26C_zpsquxesvj3.jpg http://i1296.photobucket.com/...

Re: Problems with corsa round 2

Well I feel like an idiot haha. This morning when I walked up to my scooter I saw there was a napkin stuck in where the fan opening is. Seems like a coworker or friend of mine was trying to mess with me. Luckily I have a temp gauge and knew to lay off the throttle last night or that would've been an...

Re: Problems with corsa round 2

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm definitely going to take you up on that offer LMH! Thank you so much. Currently in the process of moving and apartment searching which sucks here in San Francisco so once I get settled ill PM you about that tester. Thank you. As far as your questions go, I do have an...

Problems with corsa round 2

Alright so my corsa build has been running pretty good lately. It would have trouble starting and would only start with the choke on. But once it got to about 100 degrees I could turn the choke off and it would be good to go. Sometimes sluggish at part throttle but ran pretty good. Had to keep the r...

Re: SA50 Elite Build

Yup. That's why you should always ask the buyer for the vin and license plate so you can calculate how much it's gonna cost you to transfer to over to you. They have a used vehicle sale calculator online that lets you see all the fees and tax you'll have to pay. Hope you can work something out with ...

Re: Buying first motorcycle!

Thanks for the advice guys. I've been checking Craigslist constantly looking for a used ninja 300 but everyone has them way too over priced. If I could find one cheap enough I'd much rather do that. And as far as the supermotards go, I wish I could ride it. But I just wouldn't feel comfortable on it...

Re: Buying first motorcycle!

Another question before I take the plunge. Collision insurance or no collision insurance? With liability and comprehensive I'm at $220 and with collision I'm at $890 so I'm not sure if it's worth it. Deductible is set at $500. Currently waiting to see if I can get a better out the door price. Right ...

Re: Proud new owner of an Elite?

Read over the manual and it should help you out a lot. You'll get those side panels off in no time. Just be careful with it and don't force anything because panels are easy to break. Good luck!

Re: Proud new owner of an Elite?

Hey there. Perhaps a little more information or pics so we can try and help you as best as we can. There's a lot of different Honda elite models so it's kind of hard to answer your questions accurately. Since it's a 2004 I'm going to take a guess that it's the elite 80. I see that you're in San Fran...

Re: Buying first motorcycle!

First of all, thank you guys all very much for the valuable information. Since then I have been doing a lot of reading and sort of figured out my plan. I was reading a lot about motorcycles and which one I wanna start with and narrowed it down (sort of haha) to a ninja 300, cbr500r, cb500f, wr250x, ...

Re: sym dd50 vs af16e block

As Red EFT said: both are good for buildups, just need to keep track of the small differences between them and make allowances for it. almost all parts with few exceptions are interchangeable, similar to the slight differences between the AF16s and AF18s as AF18s weren't really for the US domestic ...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol

Ill go to the store when I get back and take pics of the part numbers and what it looks like, and also where it goes. Then build one step by step. It's good to have one for sure. Thank you very very much. Ill skateboard on over to ace hardware and pick up the stuff. I really appreciate it. And okay...

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol

I probably need to build one but I don't really have the know how. Lovemyhonda did me a big favor and tried to explain it to me but I couldn't really figure it out.

Re: Problems with corsa build. HELP! lol

Took it for a ride around. Runs fairly well with the choke on. Burys the needle past the speedometer so no idea what speed it's going. Definitely seems like it can go faster. Max temps of 300.

Yea. But it seems like a 45 pilot is already big. Could it have something to do with running better once it warms up? Since choke is supposed to be for cold starts. Not sure.
