Re: 1985 aero 50 big bore kit not cranking

Your starter is designed for 50 cc's and it's prob the orig? so.....Maybe try kick starting it? Make sure you let it idle up to temp a few times before you go out riding it. Check compression to be sure it's not over 135 psi or you would need hi-octane fuel or another head gasket. Is it stock carb? ...

Re: Af16 build 2001 elite sa50

It sounds like it is over-heating from lack of fuel. Up the main jet or risk serious damage if it hasn't already done that. Yes, you need a temperature gauge to monitor the cylinder. The best type to get is the cht gauge-cylinder head temperature gauge- it installs the sensor right around the spark...

Re: 1987 se50p elite- big bore kit- info

So my question is what motor is in this model? All of the aftermarket parts I’m looking at say compatible with af16 or af18 or dio motor. I’m not super familiar with these scooters. Can anyone help me out here so I don’t buy the wrong parts. Back story: Got the scooter for a good deal and it won’t ...

Re: 1984 Gen 1 Aero Build

The Gyro X I had was a JDM brought over here by someone in the military but they for some reason, didn't get it registered in the states. I had seen BBK's on WeBike.com for it but as I could not get a title for it therefore I sold it. WeBike is where I had seen those custom pipes and some examples o...

Re: 1984 Gen 1 Aero Build

I had someone who owned a honda dealership give me a Gyro X once and I couldn't believe after I got it running, how much power it had in stock format!!! That thing was wicked!!! Wonder if you could find some gears for it to make use of all that power, to ice the cake, you would just need a badddaass...

Re: New to sprees…1996 Honda elite 50 advice

Welcome to the forum! You should first remove the air box cover to verify you have a properly oiled, intact air filter in it before you ride it much. It should be spongy, oily and not all in sticky little pieces trying to get into the carburetor! Typically, I use either Honda GN2 oil (hard to find) ...

Re: advice on plastic assembly

The side skirts ARE a bit of a trick so you can try this as I have done this many, many times - CAREFULLY install the painted plastic side panels (as a single unit) onto the scooter frame first, attach at the front of each panel with appropriate shoulder bolt but do not over-tighten! Next, align and...

Re: Trail Setup for Stock ‘01 Elite

You would just need a cross bar from the front somewhere like the neck, to the middle of the frame in front of the motor somewhere. I've seen it done for drag racing and it was in good taste and not overly invasive. That just keeps it from folding in half if you bump into a tree

Re: Trail Setup for Stock ‘01 Elite

I can remember my first stock bore SA50 with yms pipe, 9:1 gears, upgraded clutch springs, Polini vari w/7gm. rollers and new oem belt. That setup got me to just about 54 mph and once I installed metro tubeless wheels and 90/90/10's I think it was 58 mph? Maybe that was with the wind? It's been abou...

Re: Cvt tuning Honda elite windjammer

Take it easy for a while. You can't expect that corsa to let you run wot for any length of time until after at least 400-500 miles. Bump up the pilot jet a little until you're sure the rings have seated properly. You will know when you've got it too rich because the air/fuel mixture screw will have ...

Re: Cvt tuning

The cylinder is soft-seizing - you may have to up the pilot jet to 50-52. You aren't the first guy to have this happen to - it's common until you understand that it's not a factory race motorcycle and you will always be tuning it to make it run better. Be happy you didn't waste your money on a strok...

Hey, I saw your post and I am pretty sure he's using the stock SA50 hub just like if you have metro wheels also it uses the elite hub. Cheers!
