Re: Honda Spree Front Fairing Repair
After years of trying to find something to repair that type of plastic, the only thing that has worked successfuly for me is to imbed a stainless steel screen "band-aid" into the plastic with a plastic welder. I have two from harbor freight that work pretty good. This process takes a lot o...

Re: 85 Spree Start issue then full throttle
Unscrew the idle screw until the slide completely blocks the venturi. If it doesn't, find out why. Then screw in until slide starts to rise.

Re: 85 Spree Start issue then full throttle
Something is keeping the slide from returning to idle position. Is idle screw(top one) in too far?

Re: 85 Spree Start issue then full throttle
Are you sure that you have the right spring in the slide? Sounds like it doesn't have enough tension to return the slide.

Re: AF05e Wont Stay Running
My guess is that the slow jet and/or the small hole in the carb bowl where the bystarter tube goes, are still plugged. You will need something smaller than a guitar string to clean. Usually carb cleaner, compressed air, and a fine wire will do it. Sometimes you have to carefully remove the slow jet ...

Re: 85 Spree Start issue then full throttle
Take the throttle slide out and re install it being careful to line up the slot in the slide with the small peg in the chamber (the slot is toward the back). If it's lined up correctly, the slide will go down properly. That should take care of it.

Re: 1986 nq50 hard to get started
Right side bearing is generic 6203. Left side bearing you will need to get from Honda. Left side bearing from Honda is 12mm wide. Generic ones are 14mm wide, so won't work.

Re: 1986 nq50 hard to get started
If rattling noise is there when moving, it's probably in clutch or transmission. If not moving, I'd say crank bearings (left and/or right). With front pulley off (or flywheel) try moving shaft up and down. If either side moves, change bearings.

Re: 1981 Honda express SR bogs at 1/4 throttle
Had to walk away from it for awhile. Found problem. Bad gas cap!! I tried loosening cap a few times...no difference. When draining the tank to change the petcock, I noticed gas would not drain until the cap was removed completely. Another thing that made it hard to diagnose was that it would not alw...

Re: 1981 Honda express SR bogs at 1/4 throttle
Maybe I can get a chance to swap out the reeds with another SR. That's a benefit of having 2 of the same scooter. Thanks for the reply.
