Re: Where is my oil leak coming from?
I agree. I'm seeing, what looks like, a wet spot to the left of the nut, and upwards. Seems that you need to be looking higher.

Re: 85 Spree dies on hard acceleration
Yeah, I saw that Swiss army knife video a few months ago. I about died from laughing. Totally NOT a guy I would want working on my scooters or motorcycle.
EDIT, here is a link to that video and what NOT to do.

Re: Why can't I find a 1986 Spree logo/decal?
Nice quality. I ordered a set of reflective yellow for the sides, and a black one for the front. Looks pretty dang sharp on my scoot. They have all kinds of colors to choose from, plus 5 colors in reflective print. Plus they offer both types of fonts. As someone who has purchased that exact same set...

Re: Spree ignition help
Yes, even with no battery, key needs to be in the on position to start it. You'll need to get that fixed first.

Re: So how much oil DO I want?
Interesting, so the Iowa spree had a different gear ratio in addition to the main jet and pipe restrictions? According to Taz it does. http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33165&start=15 Just bought a gasket set from him for when I tear into the tranny. My 13-T gear just got her...

Re: So how much oil DO I want?
Actually, it would be a 3rd scoot. I own a 2015 TaoTao ATM50-A1. Plan on buying another soon, so I guess if you count THAT, I'll have 4 total. 2 TaoTao's and hopefully 2 Sprees. The new ones my kids use, the Spree's will be for my wife and I because we're 80's kid's.

Re: Just a quick tip on how to install grips.
If you don't plan on using them again, get a utility blade, carefully cut the length of it, then peel it off.DeanP wrote:Now the question is, how do you get the old ones off?

Just a quick tip on how to install grips.
So I was doing a quick search on the forum here to identify the correct grip size for my Spree (7/8" & 1"), and I was reading some of the comments with people arguing various ways to get them installed. Saw graphite, grease (wow really?), this compound, that gel, etc, etc etc.. It was ...

Re: So how much oil DO I want?
Yes it DID come with instructions, but that is where I am a bit confused. In THIS topic, the person was told to run 32:1 and that the old instructions were wrong: http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33111 But then yet, in that same topic, wheelman said: Running 32:1 plus oil pump = ...

So how much oil DO I want?
Bought a Taz land 48mm BBK, I'm seeing different things on different topics. I plan on keeping my oil injector. What ratio do I use for break in and what ratio, if any afterwards? Don't wanna blow the engine after doing all that work.
