Re: af16 build questions

My scoots are dialed..I was simply offering insight to trans tuning and shining light on the point that 0-60 shouldnt be the only focus. I personally think trans tuning is widely overlooked as being the most critical part of how the motor performs. Bolting on gobs of power adders is useless if the ...

Re: Honda Spree with no low end power from stop.

I agree with everything said so far. im guessing the belt is worn too thin/narrow. or the contra spring is worn out. while the spree isn't variated, it still will pull the belt towards the center at high rpm. do you have a long hill near by? start at the top and get a rolling start. will it get up t...

Re: af16 build questions

Tuning for deceleration (for me) is tougher than acceleration. When youre slowing down from 60 to 30 going into a corner, you’ll want that vari to downshift so its not a dog when get on it after you straighten out again. Nothings worse than climbing a hill going 25mph because your vari is stuck ope...

Re: 1985 "Trash Aero" project

I get what youre saying about the panel/ pipe cutting toss up. I wouldn't think of it as cutting up a fabrizi pipe, If you have a good welder, It could be considered a tasteful modification to accommodate a custom application... that sounds professional.. lol as far as the clutch wear, I cant speak ...

Re: 1985 "Trash Aero" project

wheres the pictures of this head light you speak of?? looking good nate. but you should have cut the silencer off the muffler and turned it down instead of cutting up your storage compartment. I like the zx wheels. did you get them from that place I told u about? you should bid on a belly pan and a ...

Re: Honda gyro Leaking Oil

lol that's a 1981 honda stream. the trailer is the engine and rear wheels. its a pivoting 3 wheeler like the gyros, except it uses the JDM 2 stroke vertical cylinder engine like the gyro x. based on the af01 Lead engine, similar to the first generation Aero ab07 40x39.3 bore and stroke. it actually ...

Re: 1985 Honda Gyro starter issues

I have t torn into the aero starter but you can see they’re identical. There's one part of 'identical' digging into. What is the tooth count on your Gyro starter? The OEM starter's I have for NN50 and TG50 Gyro's are 10 teeth. that's awesome about the twisting the can to switch direction. however y...

Those sizes are way different on the seals. Here’s some pics of the inside of the case. You can see where that barb is located next to the pump.

Re: 1985 Honda Gyro starter issues

I have t torn into the aero starter but you can see they’re identical. Only difference is the direction they spin. I imagine they would use same brushes and stuff. Worth a try.
