Re: Disc brake conversion for af16e Elite 94-01
Isn't that the truth. Thing is you won't ever get it out of it when you move onto the next project. I have so many bikes due to that fact, dedicated enough to spend it in the beginning and stubborn enough to never sell it for less than I think it's worth.

Re: My new ride...
I like the Bergmans, I want the 650 version. The 400s are great highway commuters also and wouldn't pass up the opportunity to own one!

Re: Help with my '94 Elite 50S build
If you want honest answers on how to build a proper 65 mph bike be honest with us. There's guys with gears, full Trans set ups, proper big bores, proper larger Intake, proper carb, and exhaust who are barely hitting 65. But it is possible with a stock carb just not a great option.

Re: Help with my '94 Elite 50S build
Stock gears and 67, ha. Not saying you're a liar but no one else has ever done 67 on stock gears on an af16. You're about 10 mph faster than my corsa powered af16 that does 13k rpm with stock gears so if the shoe fits. I have a video up of the engine I'm quoting so there's no dispute on the validity...

Re: Wheelman Razor-Sharp Reflex
I'll try the malossi set up, hope for the best with a full complete set up and not just the vario.

Re: Wheelman Razor-Sharp Reflex
Also I would go with polini as the malossi junk wears out too quick I've been told by everyone who uses it on these. 3k miles out a vario is a no go for me.

Re: honda spree wont stay running more than a second or two?
Crank seals will definitely allow compressed air to escape. On a 4t crank seals don't play such a huge roll as the 2ts do. The crank case is part of the cycle. If air escapes or comes in on the strokes it will alter compression and air fuel ratio.

Just disconnect the black wire with a white stripe if you think the switch is bad. Fastest way to find out. I bought a jog for next to nothing because the guy couldn't figure out what was wrong and it was only a bad kill switch. Removed the black w white wire from the cdi and got spark instantly.

Use a heat gun on low setting, it's pretty easy just take your time.

Sweet deal, the engine alone is worth double that.
