I assume the restricted version is the same as mine, 82. When I was doing the same thing, I swapped to the unrestricted size (Elite S or Elite R in 1987), which is 85, but I only had 84 and 86.

Oh, if you go unrestricted, make sure you jet up from the stock 82 to 84-86.

Re: 1987 Honda Elite SE50 Derestricting

Use the unrestricted pipe, if it is from and Elite S or an Aero. You can’t unrestrict the restricted pipe (easily), there is no washer.

Re: 85’ Spree UPDATES!!!!

I also created a SSS speed pulley shim mod to allow users to change the ratio and allow for tunability. I took 1.5mm off the back of the pulley so it will slide further onto the crank. This is a list off pulley stacks. Whatever you take off the back otf the pulley, you double the distance between th...

Re: 87’ Elite variator Clutch Tuning

Hmmm.... maybe it’s sounding like I should try lighter weights just a hair to keep the revs up. I put the pipe and jet in before the Keli and it picked up about 5mph just on revs alone....maybe I am thinking about this the wrong way. I guess that is the fun, experimenting!

87’ Elite variator Clutch Tuning

Ok, I have a Keli variator and am getting ready to install +1000 clutch springs this weekend. I’m currently running 7g rollers and it seems like the shifts are “behind” so I’m going to go every other weight to an 8g roller. I have a tach and a Technigas pipe (basically the S model now), what RPM sho...

Re: Spree Speed Pulleys

You guys should make a shim kit for this pulley, so it would be adjustable changing the back-side and face dimension. I love the pulley, but it's just a bit too much for a guy my size. This way you could add some to the face, and remove some from the back and have a corresponding ratio change. It wo...

Wheel/Tire Assembly Balancing

Have any of you used a static balance for wheel tire assemblies? Looking at purchasing one, since small vibrations @ 30mph are becoming larger at 40+mph.

There are a ton of choices on ebay, but looking for experiences. Let me know.
