Re: alloy drive face pros? cons?
Lighter but prone to stripping and perhaps damaging crank splines. Alot of guys use them with no problem but I like to use a new oem honda one on my bikes

Re: To big bore or not to big bore... That is the question
Let me re state the ending part. You CAN buy a better variator and mill the head on your afo5 for a compression bump. I have heard claims of people hitting 45-50 on that motor. Its the same as the 87 se50 afo5 with the 10:1 gears stock. You can also buy the malossi bbk but the aftermarket availabili...

Re: To big bore or not to big bore... That is the question
Listen man i know alot of people dont like to hear this but when you put a bbk on reduces the reliability of the scooter. My suggestion would be to replace that engine with a stock updated version. A stock 50cc af16e motor or clone kymco/sym motor with minor cvt upgrades and fresh tune up will have ...

Re: NQ50 Spree Engine Build
First of all the crank bearings need to be removed from the crank and new ones put into the case first! It wont go in straight with the bearings on the crank! Secondly the crank case and intake area needs to be rough enough for fuel to atomize. Its not supposed to be polished like that.

Welcome and I look forward to reading about BumbleBee. You still need to put some black stripes on the tail section, and get a ...

Re: Turbo Scooting
More of a novelty than anything. It's been done and it works. But a 150cc is still just too small to push even the tiniest of turbo's very efficiently. What you'll end up with is tons of lag then a boost way later. Honestly I'm sure its fun, just not very practicial imo. Better off turbo w/ 250 mor...

Re: Flash 5 Rises Like a Phoenix from the Ashes of F3
You need a better pipe me thinks. The mhr is great and stays cooler for longer rides but you can only rack up 5-6k miles tops. Also the mhr cant over bore like corsa or cast iron. Why not have someone like baka or tru72 port that sucker with more aggressive porting? It still will only last about the...

I agree. Stand up scooter and a dio motor = certain death. I like the stand up action pretty sweet man!bushpigwillie wrote:Nah. Don't need a dio for my application. Overkill. I have a gy6 already that would be nice and quiet and has a CVT as well. That's my next standup project.

Re: Malossi crank 537604 out of production!
Pauly there are two different crank one has a small size shaft you need to run a 87 elite boss and variator and ramp. The one that fits our elite motors and zx dios are the larger shaft size thats now discontinued.

Re: 120cc stroker jetting need help
The theory is that bigger displacement will suck more fuel thru those jets than a 70cc. You might not be too far off with a 140-145 main.
