PMs stuck in message outbox

I just noticed that I have a couple of private messages I sent out in this forum that are still in my message outbox and never got sent. One of them has been there for 17 days. What causes PM's to get stuck in the outbox and is there anyway to flush them out? When I do a search, it seems like this h...

Re: Is this a special Tact?

mm and bones.. thanks.. I would follow up on it if I lived in California and understood their registration system. What I really want though more than a special Tact is one of these Gyro canopies:

Re: Is this a special Tact?

Meatball.. that Dio looks nice too.. other than the prices being too high on all of his scooters, what worries me the most is the line: *DMV paper ready to registration" I think that means that the Florida Tax Assessor (Florida DMV) will say "Oh Hêll no!" when the VIN doesn't come up...

Re: Is this a special Tact?

Ped and meatball.. Appreciate the comments, but you still didn't answer my question.. is this Tact a special one because of being an anniversary version, and are the decals put on by the factory? The one in the Seattle ad looks like the same one as in the Orlando ad. I didn't see that Gyro X on eBay...

Re: Is this a special Tact?

I wasn't asking if Tacts in general were collectable, just this one with the anniversary decals.

Is this a special Tact?

There were ads a few weeks ago on eBay in California from someone selling a number of Honda Tacts that had been newly imported from Japan. I think there were a dozen or so, perhaps more, of them for sale. I don't see the ads on eBay any longer. In any event, there is an ad now on Orlando craigslist ...

Re: Any way to fix Difficult Starting after a few days?

I think the tilting causes gasoline to spill out of the float bowl into the intake pipe. I got the idea from the way an Amal carb works on an old Triumph motorcycle I had. On the side of an Amal carb, there is a button. When you push down on the button, the button forces the float down into the bowl...

Scooter Dealers in Taipei, Taiwan

It is not uncommon in Asia to find many similar businesses next to each other on a single street. For example you might find one street that is mostly flower shops, another street might be many shops selling hardware and tools, and another street might have a lot of shops selling vegetables. Here ar...

Scooter scene in Taipei, Taiwan

Here are a few photos I took of various scooters in Taipei this Spring. See how many you can identify: http://www.vintagegarage.com/TaipeiOldScooters/TaipeiScooter1.JPG http://www.vintagegarage.com/TaipeiOldScooters/TaipeiScooter2.JPG http://www.vintagegarage.com/TaipeiOldScooters/TaipeiScooter3.JPG...

Re: Any way to fix Difficult Starting after a few days?

Yes, if you don't want to take anything apart to clean the carb or get the bystarter passages all clean, try the following: 1. Run the starter for 3 seconds to open the fuel petcock and get gasoline to the carb. 2. Tilt the scooter to the left, until the left side of the footboard is almost touching...

Re: Stock Spree Exhaust Question

All my Elite ES SB50s go 37 mph stock on level ground and off the speedometer when going down a slight hill. They are so slow off the line though that for a 180 pound rider, they lack the fun of a Spree, and as such are my least favorite to ride, as I have to "Flintstone" to get started fr...

Re: Holy Grail of Clean, Simple, Cheap 2-Smoke

This Spring, I spent a month traveling around Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea to check out the scooter scene. In Shanghai, it is very rare to find a gasoline powered scooter. 99% of the scooters in Shanghai are electric, and battery technology varies from ancient to fairly modern... range is good, bu...
