Re: My 85 AERO 50 "ERRL"

Very small update. Got the ehxaust leak fixed and the new shrouds are in. Got to do a couple runs the other day but she was running awfully rich. So I down jetted and it's been raining ever since. Hopefully get some top speed runs in after the weekend. But the new shrouds look great! http://i103.pho...

Re: staggering weights

As long as the weights are staggered correctly 3x3 your good. People use this method to achieve in between weights that they don't have. I'm not sure there's more of a benefit performance wise from mixing or using all the same.

Re: Case Half Sealing

Af16 does not use a paper gasket to start with. Af05 on the other hand does and they recommend you keep it that way and don't use liquid gasket in its place.

Re: Cdn Dio - Polini Contessa BBK build

Not sure to tell you the truth. I would think you have an air leak to be running it turned in so far. Have you tested for air leaks? Maybe someone else will be able to chime in on this as Ive never run into that problem.

Have you done any plug chops?

Re: Cdn Dio - Polini Contessa BBK build

You really want your air fuel screw to be 1 1/4- 1 3/4 turns. Under 1 turn out seems wrong to me. Are you really set at 3/4? Needle clip position at the very top or bottom doesn't hurt you. And changing your main jet will cause you to have to change the clip position most likely. The clip kind of ac...

Re: Upgraded rear shock adapter and options ?

Both of my shocks the spring is only 1/2 or2/3s of the total length which helps a lot and keeps it away from the tire.

Re: Cdn Dio - Polini Contessa BBK build

Drop a pilot jet and reset your idle and see where that get you. Pilot jet is pretty much done by 1/4 throttle possibly adjust your needle clip as well if the pilot doesn't do the trick. And if 1/4 throttle to WOT is good then the rest of our settings should be good. Here is a great tunning chart. h...

Re: What oils is everyone using?

I run Amsoil Dominator and 80w gear oil can't remember the brand at the moment. I ran 927 in my last motor and really liked it had about 200 miles on it when I took it apart and the bore looked as good as new. No signs of goop. Only reason I switched is because I moved and here in northern Michigan ...
