Trunk IS a Honda original. Too bad you don't have a key.

Re: Are these Factory 1986 Honda Spree Accessories?
I agree. Basket and seat cover are aftermarket, trunk MIGHT BE authentic. Post some up close images of it if you can. I'm in the market for a good trunk in excellent condition with keys, if that's what you have, I might make you an offer.

Re: 2 different exhausts, same year bikes
Top one, I believe, is from an 84-85' model year, bottom is from an 86-87' Neither are Iowa and neither are restricted.

Re: Spree tire spin at idle
Might wanna get a new belt installed if you haven't already. As for the spinning, could be a couple things. 1. New padding just needs a bit of break in time, JWPartplus lines them pretty thick so might experience a slight rubbing on the bell till you've put a few miles. 2. bearings in the wheel migh...

Re: Rare parts value
I'd go maybe $40 on the glovebox since it's missing clips, maybe $50-60 for mat. Seat is worthless with tear, needs re upholstered. If you can find a sucker willing to pay higher, good luck.

Re: Looking for low speed gears, or pulleys. 1985 Spree.
Your 85' has the exact same gears as the 84-87 Iowa editions (12T). There is not a lower gear available.

No, but you'll want to do some intake modifications. Stock Spree intake just doesn't have what it takes. Links in my signature.

Re: where to find high speed final drive spree gears
Like these? First thing that came up on ebay search. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Spree-NQ50-15-81-Upgrade-Gear-Set/372139759535?hash=item56a54217af:g:vdQAAOSwjXRXaLbt Yep, that would be the gears you need. Wouldn't run it without a BBK though, you'll be doing a Flintstones takeoff @49cc. If that...

Re: Wondering about 1986 Spree w/ 70cc Upgrade
Sprees are 2 stroke engines, they don't have a cam. Also, the BBK is a 48mm or 68cc. No such thing as a 70cc. If it's running bad, blame the guy who installed the BBK incorrectly (pretty common for people to screw it up). As for offering him $700.. HA!! I'd be hard pressed to offer someone $300. Sou...

Re: Your spree top speed?
Stock, my Iowa did like 23-25, top speed now is 52mph. That's with a rider who is within the recommended weight range (180lbs or less). Myself personally (320lbs), I can get it to around 42-44 if the wind is on my side.

Re: 1989 nq50
The NQ50 was only produced from 84-87 and it doesn't have a gas filter unless you count the one inside the petcock. You sure it's a Spree?

Re: JW Parts Plus clutch re-surfacing
Nope, sure don't. You'll need to use the contact form. I just made a paypal payment for the service, and they E-mailed me instructions and gave me a service number. Basically, you box up the old clutch and bell housing if you like (they'll bead blast it for a few bucks more) and send it off to them....

245mm. I like the motoforce ST1 shock. Nice firm support and is adjustable.
