Re: 96 Elite SR front drum brake to disk conversion - how to rewire brake light?
same brake switch can be found on bigger honda scooters like the 650 silverwing and all the 50cc+ pitbike/dirtbikes with disk brakes and lights. the master cylinder design is very common on all those front disk brake cycles.

i have an ab07 bthat does 60mph. they are a great engine. any performance gy6 variator can be used on the engine by drilling out the boss from 14mm to 15mm. the same adapter used on the af05 can be made or purchased to use a ct dio reed intake. af 16 dio performance exhausts can be used on this engi...

Re: Rare parts value
yeah have to agree with eclark. glove box might not even be worth 40. because its missing the mounting clips, and seat is worth going rate for a spree seat with a tear. the pieces arfe all the same and the cover is torn. honestly the only sellable thing you have is the floor mat. because its complet...

dont forget to add the ab07 to your list of 2 strokes. itll bolt into anything those will. and with a little work can be big bored variated carbed, etc. and dio pipes fot it by re clocking the mounting flange 90*. af05e pipes are hard to find. are you looking for stock or built for 400? is that ship...

Re: Motor mount question.
did you buy that off fleabay? that thing has been in there forever. if it is the same one. it looked crooked in the item pics, and is way too long imo. think it was something like an 8" stretch? 2-4" is about all that actually is functionable. 6" is pushing it and cables need to be re...

I have seat, hubs, wheels, front and rear, and probably good used shoes. I suppose it would be best for me to assemble parts, take some pix, and forward t...

Re: Gyro - general thread
that motor is basically an AF01 lead 50 engine with a different 3 rear wheel transmission. a real close cousin to the 83-84 ab07 aero 50 engine. all use 6004 crank bearings, same side oil pump, and crank shaft diameters

Re: Project: Gyro
you can get a lot of that rust cleaned off those parts by soaking them in diesel. I wouldn't soak the clutches though. soak the rusted metal parts for a day or 3. then wire brush the loose rust off. repeat if necessary. ive split a few of these engines and haven't needed any special tools to separat...

Re: 1983 Aero 50 starter issue
check your fuse that comes off the battery. also make sure you pull the brake handle and the brake tight comes on. if the brake switch is bad the starter wont work.

Re: Honda vision mini NT50 tyre size upgrade help
3.00 will slow down take off a lot with out a variator. and other than a spacer between the front pulley halves, and a wider little longer belt, to hopefully get it higher on the rear pulley, you don't have many choices for replacing that low end torque for take off. maybe stiffer clutch springs, or...
