yeah, definitely a broken stem since the forks and all were still attached to the wheel. Looks like he crammed on the front brakes attempting a stoppie when things went terribly wrong. These things just aren't stunt bikes, sheesh!

Re: Spree mods with Jumps
I remember mine did that too. My cover was mis-aligned a tiny bit when I cranked down the bolts. Youd think it would just tighten up in the right spot but it didn't, theres some play in there. I had to lift "up" on the gear cover when tightening down the bolts and it spins freely now.

Re: Help! 86 Spree Not Getting Spark?!
check wire connections on the pulser....its #2 on this diagram...check wire connections on stator (#5) also. Test with meter to see if youre getting pulse on revolution. Could be faulty ignition switch also...good thing you have access to 50 other Sprees to swap parts from! http://www.partzi...

Have you tried swapping to a known good CDI? A faulty one would give you spark issues.

Re: Getting the Tazland BBK, GEARS, + MLM ran on a dyno
I know that Taz used to make Spree carbs and sold them as a kit with his BBK's. He told me months ago he was in the process of getting more carbs produced. Not sure of what ever came of that. I also cant find anyone on here that had bought one to comment on its results. Off Topic: This is what happe...

Re: How to fit Met front wheel onto an SE50
Cant use the SE50 brake hub on the Met wheel...The Met hub is much larger. The axle and spacer both fit just fine.

How to fit Met front wheel onto an SE50
I have an 87 SE50. Picked up some Met wheels and slapped on some new tubeless rubber. Rear wheel went on like butter, bolted right up. Front wheel is giving me fits. The SE50 front brakes are smaller so I have to use the Met one. Unfortunately, the Met front brakes don't mate up with the SE50 forks!...

Re: New To Forum, New Elite Owner
Id pass on it...Looks like its been "band-aided" too many times to keep running. Theres just too many of them out there to buy something like this. Spend $100-$200 more and get a nice clean bike. Winter is coming and people dump off their bikes for cheap during the off season. Just wait an...

Re: Getting the Tazland BBK, GEARS, + MLM ran on a dyno
Depends on what Black youre looking at. I painted the entire 87' Spree with Krylon "camouflage" FLAT BLACK w/"fusion". It sticks to plastic very well and durable. They have a whole line of "fusion" for plastic and their Camo has 3 colors I believe. Just look for the dec...
